Ryle defeated Campbell County 37-36 in overtime. Campbell County led late by the score of 30-27 but Ryle’s Josh Line kicked a 27yard field goal at the buzzer to knot the score at 30-30 and force overtime. Ryle got the ball first in overtime and scored on a 10 yard run by Jacob Savage and the conversion kick by Josh Line to give Ryle a 37-30 lead. Campbell County scored on a two yard run by Nathan Smith but elected to go for the win and the pass failed to connect leaving Campbell County on the short end of a 37-36 score. Ryle held a 378-252 advantage in total yardage.
Logan Verax led Ryle’s ground game with 28 yards on 12 carries. Gavin Lyons carried the ball three times for 13 yards and a touchdown. Jacob Savage recorded 12 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Logan Verax completed 34 of 46 passes for 335 yards and three touchdowns. Landon Lorms caught 13 passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Dylan Lee caught seven passes for 74 yards and a touchdown. JR Hayes added five receptions for 54 yards. Jacob Savage chipped in with five catches for 51 yards. Jacob Savage led the defense with six solo and 12 assisted tackles with two of his tackles for losses. Grady Reynolds added six solo and five assisted tackles. Beau Fau recorded one solo and five assisted tackles. Jason Yarbrough added six assisted tackles.
Nathan Smith added Campbell County’s ground game with 115 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. Landon McNabb carried the ball 11 times for 38 yards and a touchdown. Nathan Smith completed eight of 11 passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Garyn Jackson caught six passes for 35 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Francher caught one pass for 18 yards. Jack Schloemer led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles. Aiden Dowds added seven solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a loss and recovered a fumble. Blake Funston recorded five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a loss. Kameron Vickers recorded five solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses.
