Ryle led 19-13 at halftime but outscored Dixie Heights 34-8 in the second half to earn a 53-21 victory over the Colonels. Dixie Heights was hampered tonight by the absence of QB Armani Gregg who was sidelined by an injury. Simon Kenton rolled up 538 yards of total offense while Dixie Heights recorded 317 yards.
Jacob Savage led Ryle’s ground game with 69 yards on six carries. Jr Hayes added 20 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Carson Jenkins chipped in with 16 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Logan Verax completed 20 of 33 passes for 355 yards and five touchdowns with one interception. Landon Lorms caught six passes for 133 yards and one touchdown. Dylan Lee added three receptions for 69 yards and two touchdowns. Gavin Lyons recorded two receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown. Grady Reynolds chipped in with three receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown. Jacob Savage also caught four passes for 37 yards. Jacob Savage led the defense with eight solo and seven assisted tackles. Grady Reynolds added six solo and five assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Beau Faul recorded three solo and six assisted tackles. Jaden Galacia chipped in with three solo and five assisted tackles. Dylan Lee recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass. Jake Steffen recovered a fumble.
Brach Rice led Dixie Height’s ground game with 139 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries. David Anderson carried the ball 16 times for 78 yards. Lamiego Mutongwiza recorded 36 yards on eight carries. Mason Fields completed 10 of 20 passes for 61 yards with one interception. Riley McGrath caught one pass for 17 yards. David Anderson added two receptions for 15 yards. Hudson Blank recorded three receptions for 14 yards. Nolan Goetz chipped in with three catches for 13 yards. Brach Rice led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles. Michael Rodriguez added seven solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Max Neal recorded five solo and two assisted tackles. Carter Schroer chipped in with five solo and one assisted tackles. Brayden Brzgot added three solo and five assisted tackles.
