Lexington Christian Academy defeated Monroe County by the score of 57-14. LCA recorded 12 first downs and 269 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized three times for 40 yards and had one pass intercepted. Monroe County recorded 10 first downs and 192 yards of total offense. They were not penalized tonight and lost two fumbles.
Brady Hensley led LCA’s ground game with 106 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. BJ Evans carried the ball twice for 51 yards and a touchdown. Bennett Gudalis recorded 27 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Carter Penix chipped in with 19 yards on two carries. Cutter Boley completed five of 10 passes for 59 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Nate Barnhardt caught three passes for 36 yards and a touchdown. Saxton Howard and Will Rich added touchdown receptions of 13 and 10 yards respectively. Saxton Howard returned four punts for 104 yards with a long return of 45 yards and returned one kickoff for 58 yards. Nate Barnhardt returned one punt for 22 yards. Jamey Lee Patterson led the defense with five solo tackles with one tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Bennett Gudalis added four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Sam Pearson recorded three solo and one assisted tackles. Collin Hansley added three solo and one assisted tackles and scored on a 38 yard fumble recovery. Kenyatta Hardge recorded two solo tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards. Aiden Lyons recovered a fumble.
Brayden Baxter led Monroe County’s ground game with 81 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Branson Williams carried the ball nine times for 25 yards. Kaleb Stinson recorded 14 yards on one carry. Jameson Petett completed four of eight passes for 17 yards. Branson Williams completed two of two passes for 40 yards and a touchdown. Travis Wood caught four passes for 47 yards. Briar Bourque caught a nine yard touchdown pass. Travis Wood returned two punts for six yards with a long return of six yards and returned five kickoffs for 90 yards with a long return of 25 yards. Brayden Baxter led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles. Travis Wood added three solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Lennex Young recorded three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.
