Highlands powerful ground attack dominated tonight in a 40-7 victory over Dixie Heights. The Bluebirds raced out to a 40-0 halftime lead and cruised to the victory. Highland recorded 464 yards of total offense, 423 of these yards coming on the ground game. Dixie Heights was held to a total of 125 yards.
Cameron Giesler led Highlands’ ground game with 209 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Brody Benke carried the ball 12 times for 194 yards and three touchdowns. Brody Benke completed one of two passes for 41 yards and a touchdown. Carson Class caught one pass fro 41 yards and a touchdown. Nate Welch and Carson Class each intercepted a pass.
Armani Gregg led Dixie Heights’ ground attack with 62 yards on 14 carries. Armani Gregg completed 10 of 19 passes for 72 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Tyson Beach caught three passes for 36 yards. Brach Rice added two receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown. Kabanza Mwamba intercepted a pass.
