Spencer County continues their late season resurgence with a 42-37 victory over DeSales. Spencer County recorded 440 yards of total offense and had one pass intercepted. DeSales recorded 415 yards of total offense, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.
Kellen Marksbury led Spencer County’s ground game with 147 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Kennan Carnes carried the ball 11 times for 48 yards. Brady Smith recorded 45 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Danny Armstrong chipped in with 38 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Brody Phelps carried the ball 12 times for 37 yards. Jarett Stewart completed four of 10 passes for 116 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Kellen Marksbury caught two passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Andrew Barron added two receptions for 50 yards and two touchdowns. Nick Stowe led the defense with two solo and six assisted tackles. Tanner Shuler added three solo and three assisted tackles. Kennan Carnes recorded two solo and three assisted tackles. Arick Henry recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Ian Blanford added four solo tackles. Andrew Barron and Brady Smith each intercepted a pass.
Marshall Miller led DeSales’ ground game with 45 yards on nine carries. Peyton Molter carried the ball three times for seven yards and a touchdown. Peyton Molter completed 16 of 28 passes for 366 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions. Brandon Williams caught five passes for 178 yards and three touchdowns. Broderick Price added six receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown. Marshall Miller recorded four receptions for 59 yards. Luke Thompson caught one pass for four yards. Brandon Williams led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles. Michael Ellis added six solo and four assisted tackles. Cole Mays recorded three solo and five assisted tackles. Desmond Richard added seven solo tackles. Colm Spalding intercepted one pass he returned 11 yards.
