Lexington Christian Academy coach Tim Bradhaw started the following lineup: 5-7 So. Jenny Bertram, 5-6 Jr. Ella Gabbert, 5-8 8th Grade Jeriko Castle, 5-7 Jr. Chapel Brown, and 5-7 Jr. Claire Roberts. Tates Creek coach Jana Costner countered with 5-7 Jr. Miracle Morbley, 5-4 So. Jazlene Potter, 5-8 Fr. Alyiah Baird, 5-3 Sr. Chloe Byrd, and 5-5 Fr. Kaleigh Potts.
Tates Creek trailed Lexington Christian Academy by 14 mid way through the second quarter but rallied behind a strong defensive effort in the second half to earn a 52-44 victory, The score was tied three times and there were two lead changes in the game. Tates Creek shot 26.4% from the field including three of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Commodores connected on 21 of 26 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 24 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 32.1% from the field including six of 23 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on four of 10 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Tates Creek turnovers.
Miracle Morbley led Tates Creek with 16 points including five of six free throws, four rebounds, two assists, and six steals. 5-9 7th Grade Isabelle Ellison added 10 points including four of four free throws, four rebounds, and two steals. Jazlene Potter recorded eight points including six of eight free throws and eight rebounds. Kaleigh Potts chipped in with eight points including four of four free throws, seven rebounds, and four steals. Alyiah Baird added seven points, three rebounds, and four steals.
Claire Roberts led LCA with 17 points including five three point baskets and three steals. Chapel Brown added 10 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists. Jeriko Castle recorded seven points and 10 rebounds. Jenny Bertram chipped in with four points, six rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
