Lexington Christian Academy coach Ted Hall started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Andersen Green, 6-2 Jr. Hagan Preston, 6-5 So. Simon King, 5-11 So. Sam Spillman, and 6-0 Jr. Saxton Howard. Tates Creek coach Jarrod Gay Sr. countered with 6-3 Sr, Braylon Hinton, 6-3 Jr, Latrell Jones-Miller, 6-6 Sr. RaeAmere Owsley, 5-9 Jr. Dawson Garth, and 5-10 So. Stephen Franklin.

Tates Creek led by seven points with 1:04 left in the game but LCA rallied and won the game 65-64 on a three point basket by Simon King with seconds remaining on the clock. Tates Creek got off a late shot but it failed to connect giving LCA the victory. There were six times and eight lead changes in the game. LCA shot 44.4% from the field including seven of 20 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 10 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 40.8% from the field including seven of 21 from beyond the arc. The Commodores connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 LCA turnovers.

Andersen Green led LCA with 18 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, four rebounds, and three assists. Saxton Howard added 17 points including two three point baskets. 6-8 Sr. Payton Mayhorn recorded 10 points and six rebounds. Hagan Preston chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots. Simon King added five points, six rebounds, and four assists. Colt Cummins pulled down seven rebounds.

Stephen Franklin led Tates Creek with 18 points including three three point baskets, three of three free throws, and five rebounds. RaAmere Owsley added 13 points including five of seven free throws, five rebounds, and two blocked shots. Braylon Hinton recorded 11 points including three three point baskets. Dawson Garth chipped in with 10 points including six of eight free throws, four rebounds, and five assists.
