Franklin County coach Joey Thacker started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Rachel Shropshire, 5-7 So. Logan Kennedy, 6-2 Jr. Juliana Frazee, 5-4 Fr. Makiyia Wheeler, and 5-6 Jr. Leia Hogan. South Laurel coach Chris Souder countered with 5-10 Fr. Maci Messer, 5-7 Fr. Sydney Blanton, 5-11 Fr. Peyton Mabe, 5-2 So. Aubrey Bundy, and 5-5 Fr. Shelbie Mills.

Franklin County defeated South Laurel by the score of 84-61. Franklin County shot 53.6% from the field including seven of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Flyers connected on 17 of 21 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 14 South Laurel turnovers. South Laurel shot 44.4% from the field including nine of 21 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Franklin County turnovers.

Rachel Shropshire led a balanced Franklin County scoring attack with 17 points including three three point baskets and two rebounds. Leia Hogan added 16 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, six assists, and five steals. 5-8 Jr. Madison Jackson recorded 15 points and two rebounds. Logan Kennedy chipped in with 12 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Makiyia Wheeler added 10 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

Maci Messer led South Laurel with 18 points including two three point baskets, four of five free throws, six rebounds, and two assists. Peyton Mabe added 15 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, four rebounds, and two steals. Shelbie Mills recorded 12 points including two three point baskets and two assists. Aubrey Bundy dished out seven assists.
