Scott County vs. Johnson Central (Girls)

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Maleiyah Moore, 5-7 Sr. Kaylen Perry, 6-0 So. Kierstin Young, 5-7 So. Dymon Percell, and 5-7 Jr. Mmya Summers. Johnson Central coach Jim Hicks countered with 5-8 Jr. Kaylyn McKenzie, 5-7 Sr. Abbie Stambaugh, 5-9 Sr. Sophie Younce, 5-5 Sr, Becca Wright, and 5-7 Sr. Taylor McKenzie.

Johnson Central defeated Scott County by the score of 46-37. There were three lead changes and two ties in this game. Johnson Central shot 33.3% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 13 of 25 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 24 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 40% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals were zero of three from the free throw line, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 21 Johnson Central turnovers.

Taylor McKenzie led Johnson Central with 13 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Abbie Stambaugh added eight points and eight rebounds. Kaylyn McKenzie recorded seven points and four rebounds. 5-8 8th Grade Karlea Stanley chipped in with five points and four steals.

Maleiyah Moore led Scott County with 21 points including five three point baskets and two rebounds. Nmya Summers added four points, four rebounds, and three steals. Kaylen Perry recorded four points, five assists, and four steals.
