Madison Central vs. Madison Southern (Girls)

Madison Central coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Brooke Campbell, 5-7 Sr. Eden Carter, 5-9 Jr. Cameryn Ridderikhoff, 5-7 Jr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Jr. Nataya Strader. Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis countered with 5-10 So. Laci Sandlin, 5-5 Jr. Ashlan Estep. 5-9 Sr.Olivia Wagoner, 5-2 Jr. Maria Himes, and 5-4 So. Hadley French.

Madison Southern defeated Madison Central by the score of 38-35. Madison Southern led by 16 points in the third quarter but Madison Central fought back to take a one point lead late in the game before the Lady Eagles rallied for the victory. There were three lead changes in this game. Madison Southern shot 35.1% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored five points off 11 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 26.8% from the field including one of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 22 Madison Southern turnovers.

Laci Sandlin led Madison Southern with nine points including five of five free throws, 13 rebounds, and two assists. 5-8 8th Grade Briana Hensley added seven points, five rebounds, and four assists. Hadley French recorded seven points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Ashlan Estep chipped in with seven points and four rebounds. Maria Himes added six points and two assists.

Nataya Strader led Madison Central with 10 points and six rebounds. Eden Carter added nine points, six rebounds, and two steals. Brittany Campbell recorded seven points, eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Cameryn Ridderikhoff chipped in with six points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
