West Carter coach Faith Conn started the following lineup: 5-6 So. Sydney Cecil, 5-5 So. Josie Nolen, 5-10 Sr. Makenna Nichols, 5-1 Fr. Madison Stamper, and 5-4 So. Kenlie Nolen. Lexington Christian Academy coach Tim Bradshaw countered with 5-6 So. Jenny Bertram, 5-6 Jr. Ella Gabbert, 5-8 8th Grade Koko Castle, 5-6 Jr. Chapel Brown, and 5-7 Jr. Claire Roberts.
Lexington Christian Academy defeated West Carter by the score of 63-34. Lexington Christian Academy shot 39.6% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 37 points off 32 West Carter turnovers. West Carter shot 48.1% from the field including one of five from beyond the arc. The Lady Comets connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored eight points off 16 LCA turnovers.
Chapel Brown led LCA with 14 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Claire Roberts added 13 points including six of six free throws, three rebounds, and three steals. Ella Gabbert recorded 13 points including three three point baskets, two rebounds, two assists, and three steals. 5-9 Jr. Sophia Pridemore chipped in with seven points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Koko Castle added six points, four rebounds, and two assists.
Makenna Nichols led West Carter with eight points. Kenlie Nolen added six points. 5-4 8th Grade Jocelyn Rudd chipped in with four points and two rebounds. Maci Holbrook added three points and five rebounds.
