Hazard coach Jeremy Howard started the following lineup: 5-8 8th Grade Maddi Frohnapfel, 5-7 Sr. Heidi Bentley, 5-11 Fr. Hannah Caudill, 5-5 Fr, Laura Everidge, and 5-5 Fr. Autumn Ramey. Madison Central coach Scott True countered with 5-7 Jr. Brooke Campbell, 5-7 Sr. Eden Carter, 5-9 Jr. Cameryn Ridderikhoff, 5-7 Jr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Jr. Nataya Strader.

The score was tied 19-19 at halftime but Madison Central outscored Hazard 22-9 in the third quarter on their way to a 59-34 victory. There were seven ties and seven lead changes in this game. Madison Central shot 41.4% from the field including four of 21 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 26 Hazard turnovers. Hazard shot 33.3% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored two points off six Madison Central turnovers.

Nataya Strader led Madison Central with 20 points, two rebounds, two assists, and six steals. Strader was eight of nine from the field including two of two from beyond the arc, and two of three from the free throw line. Brittany Campbell added 15 points, three rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Eden Carter recorded 11 points, nine rebounds, and four steals.

Maddi Frohnapfel led Hazard with 10 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists. Laura Everidge added 10 points and three rebounds. Hannah Caudill recorded eight points, five rebounds, and three blocked shots. Heidi Bentley pulled down 10 rebounds and dished out four assists. 5-10 Fr. Braylynn Eddington recorded two points and seven rebounds.
