La Lumiere coach Patrick Holmes started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Darius Adams, 6-4 Jr. Melvin Bell Jr., 6-11 Sr. Steve Solano, 6-1 Sr. Ace Buckner, and 6-3 Jr. Jerry Easter II. Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz countered with 6-2 Sr. Brady Hussey, 6-0 Jr. Nolan Ruthsatz, 6-9 Sr. Caden Miller, 5-10 So. Cash Harney, and 5-10 So. Athens McGillis.

La Lumiere raced out to a 24-7 first quarter lead on their way to a 74-60 victory over Covington Catholic. La Lumiere shot 53.6% from the field including seven of 12 from the three point line. The Lakers connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 13 Covington Catholic turnovers. Covington Catholic shot 46.3% from the field including seven of 17 from beyond the arc. The Colonels connected on three of seven free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored nine points off 20 La Lumiere turnovers.

Darius Adams led La Lumiere with 25 points including six three point baskets, seven rebounds, and two assists. Jerry Easter II added 16 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Melvin Bell Jr. recorded 12 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Ace Buckner chipped in with 11 points, two rebounds, and three assists. Steve Solano recorded nine points and 11 rebounds.

Brady Hussey led Covington Catholic with 14 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists. Caden Miller added 14 points, three rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals. Cash Harney recorded 10 points, two rebounds, and three assists. Nolan Ruthsatz chipped in with nine points, three rebounds, and two steals. Athens McGillis added eight points including two three point baskets and three assists.
