Mater Dei (CA) coach Kevin Kiernan started the following lineup: 6-1 So. Kacli Wynn, 6-0 Jr. Addison Deal, 6-3 Sr. Jenessa Cotton, 5-8 Jr. Amaya Williams, and 5-11 Jr. Devyn Kiernan. Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 6-0 Jr. ZaKiyah Johnson, 5-8 Sr. Claire Russell, 6-3 sr. Angelina Pelayo, 5-3 Fr. Amirah Jordan, and 5-10 Sr. Reagan Bender.

Mater Dei outscored Sacred Heart Academy 21-9 in the third quarter on their way to a 69-56 victory. The score was tied seven times and there were five lead changes in the game. Mater Dei shot 50% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line. The Monarchs connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 15 Sacred Heart Academy turnovers. Sacred Heart Academy shot 36.8% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc. The Valkyries connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 19 Mater Dei turnovers.

Kacli Wynn led Mater Dei with 23 points including three three point baskets, 13 rebounds, and two steals. Addison Deal added 21 points including two three point baskets. Jenessa Cotton recorded nine points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

ZaKiyah Johnson led Sacred Heart Academy with 18 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Angelina Pelayo added 14 points. Reagan Bender recorded 13 points including four of four free throws, two assists, and three steals. Amirah Jordan chipped in with five points, six assists, and three steals.
