Southwestern coach Junior Molden started the following lineup: 5-7 So. Jordyn McDonald, 5-6 Jr. Megan Loudermilk, 6-1 Sr. Payton Acey, 5-7 Fr. Jaelyn Dye, and 5-7 Jr. Kinsley Molden. Madison Central coach Scott True countered with 5-7 Sr. Olivia Metcalfe, 5-6 Jr. Tiana Young, 5-9 Jr. Cameryn Ridderikhoff, 5-7 Jr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Jr. Nataya Strader. (Eden Carter out today with illness).

Southwestern captured a hard fought 55-52 victory over Madison Central in a game that featured four ties and 11 lead changes. Southwestern shot 51.4% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Warriors connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored seven points off eight Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 44.7% from the field including seven of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on three of five free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Southwestern turnovers.

Payton Acey led Southwestern with 23 points including nine of 12 field goals, five of five free throws, three rebounds, and two assists. Kinsley Molden led 10 points including three three point baskets, and six rebounds. Jordyn McDonald recorded seven points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots. Jaelyn Dye chipped in with five points, three rebounds, and six assists. Megan Loudermilk added five points.

Nataya Strader led Madison Central with 22 points including three three point baskets, and five rebounds. Brittany Campbell added 14 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Cameryn Ridderikhoff recorded nine points, six rebounds, and three steals.
