Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. ZaKiyah Johnson, 5-8 Sr. Claire Russell, 6-3 Sr. Angelina Pelayo, 5-3 Fr. Amirah Jordan, and 5-10 Sr. Reagan Bender. Ryle coach Katie Haitz countered with 6-0 Sr. Quinn Eubank, 5-10 So. Jaelyn Jones, 6-2 Sr. Sarah Baker, 5-4 Sr. Kassidy Peters, and 5-8 Sr. Gracie Carrigan.
Sacred Heart Academy pulled away in the second half for a 71-47 victory over Ryle. Sacred Heart shot 50% from the field including nine of 18 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 20 Ryle turnovers. Ryle shot 38.8% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Raiders connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 18 Sacred Heart turnovers.
ZaKiyah Johnson led Sacred Heart with 33 points including five three point baskets, 10 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. Reagan Bender added 14 points. Amirah Jordan recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Claire Russell chipped in with five points and seven rebounds.
Sarah Baker led Ryle with 21 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Jaelyn Jones added 12 points including three three point baskets and two rebounds. Quinn Eubank recorded eight points, five rebounds, five assists, one blocked shots, and two steals.
