Great Crossing vs. Madison Central (Boys)

Great Crossing coach Steve Page started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Jeremiah Godfrey, 6-5 Jr. Vince Dawson III, 7-1 Jr. Malachi Moreno, 5-9 Jr. Junius Burrell, and 6-4 Jr. Gage Richardson. Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-2 Sr. Eli Steele, 6-2 Jr. Cody Morrison, 6-6 Sr. Tye Thomas, 6-0 So. Will Richardson, and 6-0 Jr. Landon Ray.

Great Crossing captured a hard fought 57-51 victory over Madison Central. Great Crossing shot 51.1% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line. The Warhawks connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored six points off 14 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 50% from the field including seven of 17 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 12 Great Crossing turnovers.

Jeremiah Godfrey led Great Crossing with 18 points, five rebounds, and four steals. Malachi Moreno added 13 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and three blocked shots. Vince Dawson III recorded 11 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Junius Burrell chipped in with nine points, four assists, and two steals.

Cody Morrison led Madison Central with 26 points including four three point baskets. Landon Ray added eight points including six of eight free throws and two steals. Will Richardson recorded six points on two three point baskets, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Tye Thomas chipped in with four points, six rebounds, and three assists.
