South Laurel coach Jeff Davis started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Joshua Steele, 5-11 Jr. Colton Rawlings, 6-8 Jr. Jordan Mabe, 5-8 So. Blaine Baker, and 5-8 Fr. Jordan Steele. North Hardin coach Michael Baffour countered with 6-3 Jr. Shaun Boykins Jr., 6-2 Jr. Seth Woods, 6-6 Sr. Darius Wiley, 5-10 Sr. Adam Charney, and 6-1 Sr. Taveon Smith.

South Laurel earned a hard fought 64-57 victory over North Hardin. There were six ties and nine lead changes in this game. South Laurel shot 52.3% fom the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 14 North Hardin turnovers. North Hardin shot 42.3% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc. The Trojans connected on eight of 16 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 South Laurel turnovers.

Jordan Mabe led South Laurel with 22 points including eight of 11 free throws, six rebounds, and three assists. Colton Rawlings added 18 points including two three point baskets, four of six free throws, two rebounds, and four steals. Joshua Steele recorded nine points, eight rebounds, and three assists. South Laurel utilized Jordan Mabe’s ability to get in the lane and score off the bounce and it worked flawlessly as Mabe scored 28 points including 14 of 21 from the free throw line. South Laurel shot 51.6% from the field including two of six from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 28 of 39 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Marshall County turnovers. Marshall County shot 39.5% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc. The Marshals connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored seven points off 11 South Laurel turnovers.

Jordan Mabe led South Laurel with 28 points, six rebounds, and two assists and was named Tournament MVP. Colton Rawlings added 12 points including seven of eight free throws, two blocked shots, and three steals. Jordan Steele recorded eight points including four of six free throws and two rebounds. Joshua Steele chipped in with seven points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.

Matthew Langhi led Marshall County with 15 points including seven of eight free throws, six rebounds, and three blocked shots. Tommy Robertson added 12 points including three three point baskets. 6-4 Sr. Logan Parker recorded eight points and four rebounds.
