Male vs. Great Crossing (Boys)

Male coach Tim Haworth started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Jayson Gasaway, 6-2 Sr. Terrence Hall, 6-6 Jr. Keashawn Jordan, 5-10 So. Cornelius Barnett, and 6-2 So. Cole Edelen. Great Crossing coach Steve Page countered with 6-7 Sr. Jeremiah Godfrey, 6-5 Jr. Vince Dawson III, 7-1 Jr. Malachi Moreno, 5-10 Jr. Junius Burrell, and 6-4 Jr. Gage Richardson.

Great Crossing defeated Male 65-63 in yet another victory over a very talented team. There were four lead changes and three ties in this game. Great Crossing shot 52.2% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line. The Warhawks connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 11 Male turnovers. Male shot 44.2% from the field including 11 of 27 from beyond the arc. They connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored seven points off eight Great Crossing turnovers.

Malachi Moreno led Great Crossing with 17 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots. Vince Dawson III added 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Junius Burrell recorded 15 points including two three point baskets, and four assists. Gage Richardson chipped in with six points, three rebounds, and two assists. Jeremiah Godfrey added four points and five rebounds.

Cole Edelen led Male with 28 points including five three point baskets, two rebounds, and five assists. 6-0 Sr. Landon Cowan added 12 points on four three point baskets, and two rebounds. Jayson Gasaway recorded nine points, five rebounds, and two assists. Keashawn Jordan chipped in with seven points and 10 rebounds.
