Lexington Catholic coach Michael Menifee started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Lydia Kennedy, 5-8 Sr. Mary Hall, 5-9 Sr. Marielle Sackleh, 5-6 So. Josey Cox, and 5-6 Sr. Brooke Russell. Tates Creek coach Jana Costner countered with 5-9 Sr. Ashton Harris, 5-7 Sr. Chloe Byrd, 5-9 So. Jazlene Potter, 5-6 Jr. Miracle Morbley, and 5-7 Fr. Kaleigh Potts.

Lexington Catholic outscored Tates Creek 11-5 in the final quarter to earn a 40-38 victory. There were eight ties and eight lead changes in the game. Lexington Catholic shot 35.7% from the field including zero of two from the three point line. The Lady Knights connected on 10 of 25 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 22 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 31.8% from the field including one of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Commodores connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 18 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Lydia Kennedy led Lexington Catholic with 10 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and three steals. 5-9 So. Bella Bretz added nine points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and seven steals. Josey Cox recorded nine points, two rebounds, and three steals. Mary Hall chipped in with eight points, two assists, and two steals.

Jazlene Potter led Tates Creek with 10 points including four of six free throws, six rebounds, and two steals. Ashton Harris added nine points including three of three free throws, and 10 rebounds. Miracle Morbley recorded nine points, eight rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Kaleigh Potts chipped in with eight points, six rebounds, and four steals.
