Cooper coach Tim Sullivan started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Isaiah Johnson, 6-3 Jr. Jaiden Combs, 6-6 Sr. Shaun Pouncy, 5-10 Jr. Yamil Rondon, and 5-10 Sr. Evan Blackburn. Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz countered with 6-2 Sr. Brady Hussey, 6-0 Jr. Nolan Ruthsatz, 6-9 Sr. Caden Miller, 5-11 So. Cash Harney, and 5-11 So. Athens McGillis.

Cooper defeated Covington Catholic by the score of 65-55. There were eight lead changes in this game. Cooper shot 43.6% from the field includeing four of 15 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine Covington Catholic turnovers. Covington Catholic shot 45.7% from the field including two of 16 from beyond the arc. The Colonels connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored six points off six Cooper turnovers.

Shaun Pouncy led Cooper with 17 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Yamil Rondon added 17 points including six of nine free throws, three rebounds, and four assists. Jaiden Combs recorded nine points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Evan Blackburn chipped in with nine points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.

Cash Harney led Covington Catholic with 14 points and five rebounds. Caden Miller recorded a triple double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 blocked shots. Athens McGillis recorded 12 points and two assists. Brady Hussy chipped in with 10 points including four of four free throws, two rebounds, and two assists.
