Scott County vs. Frederick Douglass (Girls)

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Maleiyah Moore, 5-7 Jr.Nyma Summers, 6-0 So. Kierstin Young, 5-7 So. Dymon Percell, and 5-7 Sr. Kaylen Perry. Frederick Douglass coach Daryl Moberly countered with 5-10 Fr. Jaylee Knowles, 5-9 Jr. Amayah Maxwell, 6-2 Sr. Ayanna-Sarai Darrington, 5-4 Jr. Kate Baker, and 5-7 Jr. Niah Rhodes.

Frederick Douglass defeated Scott County by the score of 77-56. Frederick Douglass shot 43.8% from the field including seven of 27 from the three point line. The Lady Broncos connected on six of 14 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 23 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 39.6% from the field including nine of 24 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 17 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

Jaylee Knowles led a balanced Frederick Douglass scoring attack with 15 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three blocked shots. Niah Rhodes added 15 points including four three point baskets, three assists, and two steals. Ayanna-Sarai Darrington recorded 14 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots. 5-2 So. Mikalee Bennett chipped in with 11 points and three steals. Kate Baker added seven points, four rebounds, two assists, and six steals. Amayah Maxwell recorded six points and six rebounds.

Maleiyah Moore led Scott County with 14 points including three three point baskets and three assists. Nyma Summers added 10 points and five rebounds. 5-8 Jr. Allison Mosby recorded 10 points and three rebounds. Dymon Percell chipped in with seven points, three rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals. Kierstin Young recorded six points, seven rebounds, four blocked shots, and two steals. 5-8 So. Jessica Horn added four points and six rebounds.
