Frederick Douglass coach Stephon Harris started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Armelo Boone, 6-3 Jr. Aveion Chenault, 6-4 So. DeMarcus Surratt, 5-8 Jrt. Chris Wright, and 6-2 Jr. Logan Busson. Bryan Station coach Champ Ligon Jr. countered with 6-4 Sr. Daeveon Adams, 6-3 So. Taeshawn Adams, 6-7 Jr. Felix Gonzalez, 5-10 Sr. Bryson Carpenter, and 6-1 So. Amari Owens.

Bryan Station rallied from a 52-42 deficit after three quarters to outlast Frederick Douglass in a 67-64 thriller punctuated by high flying dunks, acrobatic finishes at the rim, and blocked shots above the cylinder. Bryan Station shot 44.6% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line. The Defenders connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 10 Frederick Douglass turnovers. Frederick Douglass shot 39.3% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc. The Broncos connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Bryan Station turnovers.

Amari Owens led Bryan Station with 25 points including two three point baskets, nine of 15 free throws, and five rebounds. Taeshawn Adams added 24 points, seven rebounds, two assists, four blocked shots, and two steals. Daeveon Adams recorded 11 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Felix Gonzalez also blocked three shots.

Armelo Boone led Frederick Douglass with 30 points including four three point baskets, four of eight free throws, 12 rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals. Logan Busson added 13 points and seven rebounds. DeMarcus Surratt recorded seven points, three rebounds, four assists, and three blocked shots. Aveion Chenault tallied eight points, nine rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots, and three steals.
