Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Brady Hussey, 6-0 Jr. Nolan Ruthsatz, 6-9 Sr. Caden Miller, 5-11 Jr. Cash Harney, and 5-11 Jr. Athens McGillis. Ashland Blazer coach Ryan Bonner countered with 6-4 Jr. Zander Carter, 6-3 Sr. Asher Adkins, 6-5 Sr. Nate Freize, 6-1 Jr. Tyson Lalonde, and 6-1 So. Cameron Davis.

Covington Catholic defeated Ashland Blazer by the score of 59-52. There were four lead changes and three ties in this game. Covington Catholic shot 46.8% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored seven points off three Ashland Blazer turnovers. Ashland Blazer shot 34.6% from the field including nine of 29 from beyond the arc. The TomCats connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 Covington Catholic turnovers.

Caden Miller led Covington Catholic with 21 points, 18 rebounds, and five blocked shots. Brady Hussey added 18 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and two assists. Athens McGillis recorded eight points, three rebounds, and three assists. Cash Harney chipped in with five points, five rebounds, and six assists. 6-2 Noah Johnson added five points and five rebounds.

Asher Adkins led Ashland Blazer with 16 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists. Tyson Lalonde added 14 points including four three point baskets. Zander Carter recorded 12 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Nate Freize chipped in with seven points, six rebounds, and three assists.
