Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Tess Nelson, 5-10 Jr. Belle Combs, 5-10 Sr. Jackie Tishibangi, 5-6 So. Anna Clay Denton, and 5-5 Jr. Abbey Popham. Madison Central coach Scott True countered with 5-7 Jr. Brooke Campbell, 5-7 Sr. Eden Carter, 5-10 Jr. Cameryn Ridderikhoff, 5-7 Jr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Jr. Nataya Strader.
Madison Central outscored Lafayette 13-2 in the third quarter on their way to a 46-37 victory. The score was tied 20-20 at halftime and there were three ties and nine lead changes in this game. Madison Central shot 47.1% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 40.6% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc. The Lady Generals connected on eight of 12 from the free throw line, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Madison Central turnovers.
Brittany Campbell led Madison Central with 11 points. Cameryn Ridderikhoff added 10 points including four of six free throws, and two steals. Nataya Strader recorded seven points, six rebounds, and three assists. Eden Carter chipped in with six points, four rebounds, and two steals. Brooke Campbell added six points on two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists.
Abbey Popham led Lafayette with 13 points including three three point baskets. Tess Nelson added 12 points, two rebounds, and two steals. Belle Combs recorded eight points and eight rebounds. Anna Clay Denton chipped in with four points, four rebounds, and six assists. Jackie Tishibangi added seven rebounds, two assists, and four steals.
