Tates Creek coach Jana Costner started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Ashton Harris, 5-9 7th Grade Isabelle Ellison, 5-9 So. Jazlene Potter, 5-7 Fr. Kaleigh Potts, and 5-7 Sr. Chloe Byrd. Madison Central coach Scott True countered with 7-7 Sr. Eden Carter, 5-7 Sr. Olivia Metcalfe, 5-9 Jr. Cameryn Ridderikhoff, 5-7 Jr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Jr. Nataya Strader.
Madison Central trailed 29-25 at halftime, outscored Tates Creek 13-5 in the third quarter, and withstood a late rally for the victory. The score was tied seven times and there were seven lead changes in this game. Madison Central shot 38.9% from the field including four of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 26 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 37.5% from the field including six of 11 from beyond the arc. The Lady Commodores connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored nine points off 18 Madison Central turnovers.
Nataya Strader led Madison Central with 26 points including three three point baskets, seven of 13 free throws, 11 rebounds, and five steals. Brittany Campbell added 12 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Eden Carter recorded six points, eight rebounds, and seven steals. Brooke Campbell chipped in with six points, three rebounds, and four assists. Cameryn Ridderikhoff added six points and three steals. Olivia Metcalfe recorded four rebounds, and two blocked shots.
Jazlene Potter led Tates Creek with 14 points, four rebounds, and four steals. 5-4 Fr. Alexis Bazzell added 13 points including four three point baskets and three rebounds. Ashton Harris recorded eight points including six of six free throws, seven rebounds, and two assists. Kaleigh Potts chipped in with eight points, two rebounds, and three assists. 5-7 Jr. Miracle Morbley added four points, six rebounds, six assists, and two steals.
