George Rogers Clark coach Josh Cook started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. JP Gaines, 6-2 Sr, Breland Morrison, 6-4 Fr. Montez Gay, 5-9 So. Malachi Ashford, and 5-11 Sr. Reshaun Hampton. Great Crossing coach Steve Page countered with 6-7 Sr. Jeremiah Godfrey, 6-5 Jr. Vince Dawson III, 7-1 Jr. Malachi Moreno, 5-9 Jr. Junius Burrell, and 6-4 Jr. Gage Richardson.
Great Crossing defeated George Rogers Clark by the score of 73-53. Great Crossing shot 58.3% from the field including 10 of 18 from the three point line. The Warhawks connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored three points off six George Rogers Clark turnovers. George Rogers Clark shot 32.8% from the field including nine of 27 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on six of six free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 11 points off eight Great Crossing turnovers.
Vince Dawson III led Great Crossing with 24 points including four three point baskets, two rebounds, and four assists. Malachi Moreno added 15 points, 22 rebounds, five assists, and three blocked shots. 6-1 Fr. LJ Holman recorded 11 points including three three point baskets. Junius Burrell chipped in with seven points, four rebounds, and three assists.
Malachi Ashford led George Rogers Clark with 13 points and four assists. JP Gaines added 12 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Breland Morrison recorded seven points and three rebounds. Reshaun Hampton chipped in with five points and six rebounds. Montez Gay added six points on two three point baskets and two rebounds.
