Johnson Central coach Jim Hicks started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Kaylyn McKenzie, 5-7 Sr. Abbie Stambaugh, 5-9 Sr. Sophie Younce, 5-5 Sr. Becca Wright, and 5-7 Sr. Taylor McKenzie. Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-7 Jr. Maleiyah Moore, 5-7 So. Dymon Percell, 6-0 So. Kierstin Young, 5-7 Jr. Nmya Summers, and 5-7 Sr. Kaylen Perry.
Johnson Central outscored Scott County 31-12 in the third quarter on their way to a 63-45 victory. There were three ties and five lead changes in this game. Johnson Central shot 37.3% from the field including eight of 25 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 17 of 27 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 34 points off 29 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 34.1% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 24 Johnson Central turnovers.
Kaylyn McKenzie led Johnson Central with 20 points including six three point baskets, and 11 rebounds. Sophie Younce added 11 points and seven rebounds. 5-8 Jr. Adyson Burchett recorded 10 points, two rebounds, and two steals. Taylor McKenzie chipped in with seven points, three rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
Kierstin Young led Scott County with nine points, six rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots, and three steals. Maleiyah Moore added nine points, five rebounds, and seven steals. 5-8 Jr. Allison Mosby recorded eight points including two three point baskets and three rebounds. Nmya Summers chipped in with six points and three rebounds.
