Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Brady Hussey, 6-0 Jr. Nolan Ruthsatz, 6-9 Sr. Caden Miller, 5-11 Jr. Cash Harney, and 5-11 Jr. Athens McGillis. Lloyd Memorial coach Michael Walker countered with 6-1 Jr. Jayden Humphrey, 6-1 So. Anthony Blaackar, 6-8 Jr. EJ Walker, 5-9 Jr. Elijah Collins, and 6-1 Jr. Isaiah Sebastian.

Covington Catholic outscored Lloyd Memorial 21-7 in the second quarter on their way to a 64-56 victory. There was one lead change and three ties in this game. Covington Catholic shot 49.1% from the field including eight of 19 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on four of five free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 11 points off eight Lloyd Memorial turnovers. Lloyd Memorial shot 44.7% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Juggernauts connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 Covington Catholic turnovers.

Athens McGillis led Covington Catholic with 32 points including five three point baskets, and two rebounds. Brady Hussey added 12 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Cash Harney recorded nine points and two rebounds. Caden Miller chipped in with six points, six rebounds, four blocked shots, and two steals.

Anthony Blaackar led Lloyd Memorial with 19 points including five of six free throws, two rebounds, and two assists. EJ Walker added 18 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Elijah Collins recorded 11 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds.
