Franklin County vs. Montgomery County (Girls)

Franklin County coach Joey Thacker started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Rachel Shropshire, 6-0 Jr. Keyonna Taylor, 6-2 Jr. Juliana Frazee, 5-7 So. Logan Kennedy, and 5-8 Jr. Madison Jackson. Montgomery coach Dustin High countered with 5-11 Sr. Allie Dillon, 5-7 Sr. Reaghan Oney, 6-1 Jr. Savannah Jarvis, 5-4 Fr. Sophie Fouch, and 5-7 Sr. Hayden Barrier.

Franklin County defeated Montgomery County 67-63 in a game punctuated by a series of runs. Montgomery County raced out to a 27-10 first quarter lead but Franklin County cut the deficit to seven; 39-32 at halftime. The score was 48-41 after three quarters but Franklin County outscored the Lady Indians 26-15 in the final quarter to earn the victory. Franklin County shot 54% from the field including seven of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Flyers connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and committed 14 turnovers. Montgomery County shot 44.2% from the field including 11 of 25 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers.

Madison Jackson led Franklin County with 19 points including five three point baskets, and two steals. Rachel Shropshire added 13 points, three rebounds, and three steals. Juliana Frazee recorded 11 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Logan Kennedy chipped in with seven points, two rebounds, five assists, and three steals. 5-4 Fr. Makiyia Wheeler added four points, three rebounds, five assists, and three steals.

Hayden Barrier led Montgomery County with 25 points including four three point baskets, six rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Allie Dillon added 24 points including six three point baskets. Savannah Jarvis recorded 12 points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
