Scott County vs. Madison Southern (Girls)

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Allison Mosby, 5-7 Jr. Maleiyah Moore, 6-0 So. Kierstin Young, 5-6 So. Belle Banner, and 5-7 Sr. Kaylen Perry. Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis countered with 5-10 So. Laci Sandlin, 5-8 8th Grade Briana Hensley, 5-10 Sr. Bailey Hensley, 5-5 Jr. Ashlan Estep. And 5-4 So. Hadley French.

Madison Southern trailed 25-13 after the first quarter but rallied to earn a 67-56 victory over Scott County. Madison Southern shot 57.5% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 19 of 22 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored five points off three Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 35.1% from the field including six of 26 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Madison Souithern turnovers.

Laci Sandlin led Madison Southern with 22 points including eight of eight free throws, six rebounds, and two assists. Hadley French added 13 points including four of four free throws, two rebounds, and two assists. Bailey Hensley recorded 11 points and nine rebounds. Ashlan Estep chipped in with nine points, five rebounds, and five assists. 5-9 Sr. Olivia Wagoner added seven points and four rebounds.

Allison Mosby led Scott County with 24 points including three three point baskets, and two rebounds. Maleiyah Moore added 12 points, two rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Kierstin Young recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Kaylen Perry chipped in with five points, two rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Belle Banner added five points and two rebounds.
