Pikeville coach Kristy Orem started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Rylee Theiss, 5-6 Sr. Kyera Thornsbury, 5-8 Jr. Leighan Jackson, 5-5 Sr. Kristen Whited, and 5-6 Sr. Trinity Rowe. Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 6-0 Jr. ZaKiyah Johnson, 5-8 Sr. Claire Russell, 6-3 Sr. Angelina Palayo, 5-3 Fr. Amirah “Tootie” Jordan, and 5-10 Sr. Reagan Bender.

Sacred Heart Academy pulled away in the second half to defeat Pikeville by the score of 68-50. Sacred Heart Academy shot 48.1% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 14 Pikeville turnovers. Pikeville shot 40.9% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Panthers connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored five points off 11 Sacred Heart turnovers.

ZaKiyah Johnson led Sacred Heart Academy with 20 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists. Angelina Pelayo added 19 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Reagan Bender recorded 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Amirah “Tootie” Jordan chipped in with nine points, two assists, and two steals. Claire Russell recorded six points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Trinity Rowe led Pikeville with 13 points including three three point baskets and three assists. Kyera Thornsbury added 12 points and three rebounds. Kristen Whited recorded 10 points, two rebounds, and three assists. Rylee Theiss chipped in with eight points and four rebounds.
