Walton-Verona coach Mike Hester started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Zach Smith, 5-10 Jr. Grayson Dye, 6-4 Jr. Aiden Kerns, 5-8 Sr. Landon Bach, and 5-9 Sr. Max Montgomery. Great Crossing coach Steve Page countered with 6-7 Sr. Jeremiah Godfrey, 6-5 Jr. Vince Dawson III, 7-1 Jr. Malachi Moreno, 5-9 Jr. Junius Burrell, and 6-4 Jr. Gage Richradson.

Great Crossing defeated Walton-Verona by the score of 72-49. Great Crossing led 32-31 at halftime but outscored the Bearcats 24-7 in the third quarter to take control of the game. Great Crossing shot 55.4% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The Warhawks connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 13 Walton-Verona turnovers. Walton-Verona shot 36% from the field including 10 of 35 from beyond the arc. The Bearcats connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored five points off 11 Great Crossing turnovers.

Malachi Moreno led Great Crossing with 26 points on 13 of 15 from the field, 11 rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals. Vince Dawson III added 16 points, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Jeremiah Godfrey recorded 15 points, four rebounds, and two steals.

Zach Smith led Walton-Verona with 15 points including three three point baskets, and two rebounds. Aiden Kerns added 14 points including four three point baskets and two steals. 6-3 Sr. Julian Dixon recorded six points and two rebounds.
