Notre Dame Academy coach Kes Murphy started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Emma Holtzapfel, 5-8 So. Addie Lawrie, 6-3 Jr. Sophia Gibson, 5-9 Jr. Kate Resing, and 5-10 Jr. Maya Lawrie. DuPont Manual coach Ashley Franklin countered with 5-10 Sr. London Sweeney, 5-10 Sr. Alana Smith, 5-11 Sr. Londyn James, 5-5 So. Ashlinn James, and 5-4 Jr. Electra Lovely-Tolbert.
DuPont Manual raced out to a 17-4 first quarter lead on their way to a 50-36 victory over Notre Dame Academy. DuPont Manual shot 37.2% from the field including five of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Crimsons connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 22 Notre Dame Academy turnovers. Notre Dame Academy shot 32.5% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc. The Pandas connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored eight points off 13 DuPont Manual turnovers.
Ashlinn James led DuPont Manual with 17 points including five of six free throws, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Electra Lovely-Tolbert added 11 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. London Sweeney recorded 10 points including five of seven free throws and two rebounds. Alana Smith chipped in with seven points, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Maya Lawrie led Notre Dame Academy with 12 points, four rebounds, and two steals. 5-11 Sr. Kendra Collins added eight points including four of four free throws, two rebounds, and two steals. Sophia Gibson recorded four points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots. Kate Resing chipped in with three points and seven rebounds.
