Scott County vs. Tates Creek (Girls)

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Allison Mosby, 5-7 Jr. Maleiyah Moore, 6-0 So. Kierstin Young, 5-6 So. Belle Banner, and 5-7 Sr. Kaylen Perry. Tates Creek coach Jana Costner countered with 5-8 Sr. Ashton Harris, 5-8 Sr. Chloe Byrd, 5-9 7th Grade Isabelle Ellison, 5-7 Fr. Kaleigh Potts, and 5-6 Jr. Miracle Morbley.

Tates Creek defeated Scott County by the score of 69-62. The score was tied five times and there were five lead changes in this game. Tates Creek shot 35.6% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Commodores connected on 22 of 35 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 20 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 35.4% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Tates Creek turnovers.

Kaleigh Potts led Tates Creek with 21 points including two three point baskets, 11 of 16 free throws, eight rebounds, three assists, and five steals. Ashton Harris added 21 points including eight of 12 free throws, eight rebounds, two blocks, and three steals. Miracle Morbley recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, and four steals. 5-8 Fr. Alyiah Baird chipped in with seven points including two three point baskets, and four rebounds.

Allison Mosby led Scott County with 16 points, nine rebounds, and two steals. Maleiyah Moore added 14 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and two steals. Kaylen Perry recorded 10 points, three rebounds, and five assists. 5-7 Jr. Nmya Summers chipped in with nine points, five rebounds, and two steals. Kierstin Young added seven points including five of six free throws, four rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals. 5-7 So. Dymon Percell recorded six points on two three point baskets and three rebounds.
