March 4th

North Oldham vs. Owen County

North Oldham coach Mac McIntosh started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Izzy Gross, 5-6 Jr. Avery Cameron, 5-11 Sr. Saylor Hankins, 5-4 8th Grade Greyson Luehrs, and 5-6 Sr. Katherine Smith. Owen County coach Amy Wasselman countered with 5-10 Sr. Haley Logan, 5-8 So. Kylee Steffen, 5-10 Sr. Rachel Howard, 5-3 Sr. Adi Bowling, and 5-7 Jr. Kaileigh Gibson.

North Oldham withstood a late rally to defeat Owen County by the score of 50-48. North Oldham led 27-14 early in the third quarter. There were two lead changes and three ties in this game. North Oldham shot 34.8% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Mustangs connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 17 Owen County turnovers. Owen County shot 41% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Rebels connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored eight points off six North Oldham turnovers.

Katherine Smith led North Oldham with 16 points including 12 of 16 free throws, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Saylor Hankins added 10 points, six rebounds, and two assists. 5-6 Sr. Gracie Sipes recorded 10 points including two three point baskets. 5-4 8th Grade Greyson Luehrs chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets.

Haley Logan led Owen County with 23 points including two three point baskets, five of seven free throws, seven rebounds, and three assists. Rachel Howard added 11 points including four of five free throws, and 11 rebounds. Kylee Steffen recorded seven points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.

Spencer County vs. Simon Kenton

Spencer County coach John R. Howie Jr. started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Hawley Johnson, 5-5 Sr. Skyler Mills, 5-11 Sr. Ella Brown, 5-4Jr. Kayla Basham, and 5-4 Jr. Ava Raque. Simon Kenton coach Brenden Stowers countered with 5-9 So. Haylie Webb, 5-9 Sr. Rylie Flynn, 5-10 So. Anna Kelch, 5-3 Fr. Brynli Pernell, and 5-7 So. Meg Gadzala.

Ella Brown stole the ball and passed to Hawley Johnson to give Spencer County a 46-45 upset victory over Simon Kenton in the closing seconds of the game. That was the only lead for Spencer County in the entire game. Spencer County shot 45.9% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Bears connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored five points off 11 Simon Kenton turnovers. Simon Kenton shot 42.1% from the field including three of seven from beyond the arc. The Lady Pioneers connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 18 Spencer County turnovers.

Ella Brown led Spencer County with 17 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Hawley Johnson added nine points including three of four free throws, and seven rebounds. Skyler Mills recorded nine points, four rebounds, and three assists. Kayla Basham chipped in with six points on two three point baskets and four rebounds.

Brynli Pernell led Simon Kenton with 15 points including six of eight free throws, two rebounds, and two steals. Haylie Webb added nine points and six rebounds. Anna Kelch recorded nine points including one three point basket and two of two free throws.

Trimble County vs. Anderson County

Trimble County coach Zach Adair started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Addison Edmondson, 5-7 Jr. Jolie Wilkcoxson, 5-8 Jr. Trinity Crawford, 5-5 Sr. Kimberly Rodriguez, and 5-3 Sr. Payton Butters. Anderson County coach Clay Birdwhistell countered with 6-0 Jr. Lainey Johnson, 5-9 Sr. Claire Cooper, 5-10 Jr. Ella Baum, 5-7 Sr. Faith Hyatt, and 5-9 Sr. Jenna Satterly.

Anderson County defeated Trimble County by the score of 59-28. Anderson County shot 48% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Bearcats connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 20 Trimble County turnovers. Trimble County shot 41.7% from the field including one of four from beyond the arc. The Lady Raiders connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored three points off seven Anderson County turnovers.

Lainey Johnson led Anderson County with 25 points including three three point baskets, nine rebounds, two assists, three blocked shots, and four steals. Jenna Satterly added 12 points, two rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Addison Edmondson led Trimble County with 13 points including four of six free throws, and four rebounds. Jolie Wilcoxson added seven points including three of four free throws and three rebounds.

Grant County vs. South Oldham

Grant County coach Shawn West started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Sarah Russell, 5-7 Jr. Caroline Barnes, 5-9 Jr. Jada Cummins, 5-2 Fr, Olivia Ginn, and 5-4 Jr. Skyler Menefee. South Oldham coach Gene Heffington countered with 5-8 Sr. Ella Morrison, 5-7 Sr. Chloe John, 5-8 So. Madison Young, 5-5 Fr. Grace Turner, and 5-7 Fr. Brynn Brickey.

South Oldham defeated Grant County by the score of 81-78. South Oldham led Grant County 55-39 in the third quarter but Grant County finished the quarter on a 20-5 run to cut the deficit to one; 60-59 entering the final quarter. There were four ties and four lead changes in the game. South Oldham shot 52.6% from the field including eight of 22 from the three point line. The Lady Dragons connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Grant County turnovers. Grant County shot 42.6% from the field including six of 23 from beyond the arc. The Lady Braves connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 27 South Oldham turnovers.

Madison Young led South Oldham with 25 points including nine of 12 free throws, 14 rebounds, five assists, three blocked shots, and two steals. Ella Morrison added 22 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, two assists, and three blocked shots. Brynn Brickey recorded 21 points including five three point baskets and two rebounds. Chloe John chipped in with eight points and three rebounds. Grace Turner added five points, seven rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

Sarah Russell led Grant County with 28 points including seven of nine free throws, eight rebounds, and six steals. Caroline Barnes added 21 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Jada Cummins recorded 15 points including five of eight free throws, three rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals. Olivia Ginn chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets, nine assists, and five steals.

Spencer County vs. North Oldham (Semifinal)

Spencer County coach John R. Howie Jr. started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Hawley Johnson, 5-5 Sr. Skyler Mills, 5-11 Sr. Ella Brown, 5-4 Jr. Kayla Basham, and 5-4 Jr. Ava Raque. North Oldham coach Mac McIntosh countered with : 5-10 So. Izzy Gross, 5-6 Sr. Gracie Sipes, 5-11 Sr. Saylor Hankins, 5-4 8th Grade Greyson Luehrs, and 5-6 Sr. Katherine Smith.

Spencer County defeated North Oldham by the score of 47-25. Spencer County shot 48.7% from the field including four of 17 from the three point line. The Lady Bears connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 North Oldham turnovers. North Oldham shot 24.2% from the field including one of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Mustangs connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored eight points off seven Spencer County turnovers.

Ella Brown led Spencer County with 20 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and three steals. Hawley Johnson added 10 points and three rebounds. Kayla Basham recorded two points and eight rebounds.

Katherine Smith led North Oldham with eight points including five of six free throws. Izzy Gross added eight points and seven rebounds. 5-8 So. Kennedy Daley recorded six points and five rebounds.

South Oldham coach Gene Heffington started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Ella Morrison, 5-7 Sr. Chloe John, 5-8 So. Madison Young, 5-5 Fr. Grace Turner, and 5-7 Fr. Brynn Brickey. Anderson County coach Clay Birdwhistell countered with 6-0 Jr. Lainey Johnson, 5-9 Sr. Claire Cooper, 5-10 Jr. Ella Baum, 5-7 Sr. Faith Hyatt, and 5-9 Sr. Jenna Satterly.

Anderson County outscored South Oldham 19-9 in the third quarter on their way to a 62-49 victory. There were six lead changes and three ties in this game. Anderson County shot 31.4% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Bearcats connected on 26 of 32 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored four points off four South Oldham turnovers. South Oldham shot 37% from the field including seven of 24 from beyond the arc. The Lady Dragons connected on eight of 17 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored six points off six Anderson County turnovers.

Lainey Johnson led Anderson County with 23 points including two three point baskets, nine of 10 free throws, 10 rebounds, and two assists. Jenna Satterly added 20 points including 16 of 18 free throws, five rebounds, and four assists. Ella Baum recorded seven points and five rebounds. 5-9 Jr. Faith McGregor added nine points and 10 rebounds.

Madison Young led South Oldham with 16 points including six of nine free throws, eight rebounds, and three assists. Ella Morrison Added 11 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and three blocked shots. Brynn Brickey recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, and four rebounds.

Spencer County vs. Anderson County (Championship)

Spencer County coach John R. Howie Jr. started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Hawley Johnson, 5-5 Sr. Skyler Mills, 5-11 Sr. Ella Brown, 5-4 Jr. Kayla Basham, and 5-4 Jr. Ava Raque. Anderson County coach Clay Birdwhistell countered with 6-0 Jr. Lainey Johnson, 5-9 Sr. Claire Cooper, 5-10 Jr. Ella Baum, 5-7 Sr. Faith Hyatt, and 5-9 Sr. Jenna Satterly.

Anderson County trailed 27-22 after three quarters but rallied in the final quarter to earn a 36-33 victory over Spencer County. There were five lead changes and one tie in this game. Anderson County shot 37.1% from the field including one of nine from the three point line. The Lady Bearcats connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Spencer County turnovers. Spencer County shot 52% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Bears connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 15 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Anderson County turnovers.

Jenna Satterly led Anderson County with 12 points including six of seven free throws, four rebounds, and two steals. 5-9 Jr. Faith McGregor added 12 points and five rebounds. Lainey Johnson recorded seven points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Ella Brown led Spencer County with 20 points on nine of 10 from the field including one of two from the free throw line and one of three from the free throw line. Kayla Basham added six points and three rebounds. Skyler Mills recorded five points, three rebounds, and two assists. Hawley Johnson chipped in with two points, six rebounds, and two steals.
