Lexington Christian defeated Christian Academy of Louisville by the score of 41-34 in an offensive shoot out. The teams combined for 75 points, 50 first downs, and 1078 yards of total offense. Lexington Christian Academy recorded 23 first downs and 460 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized three times for 39 yards and had a pass intercepted. Christian Academy of Louisville recorded 27 first downs and 618 yards of total offense. The Centurions were penalized nine times for 77 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.
Leland Edwards led the LCA ground game with 173 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. Saxton Howard carried the ball 11 times for 91 yards and three touchdowns. Mac Darland carried the ball five times for 49 yards. Saxton Howard completed four of five passes for 97 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Tyler King caught two passes for 40 yards. Sam Pearson caught one pass for 66 yards and a touchdown. Paxton Gray returned four kickoffs for 67 yards with a long return of 21 yards. Isaac Collins kicked three extra points, punted three times for a 42.7 average with a long punt of 45 yards, and kicked off seven times for a 55.4 avaerage with five touchbacks. Daven Hood led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Mac Darland added five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Thomas Sizemore recorded four solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards and intercepted a pass he returned 57 yards. Jeremiah Burbage chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles. Sam Pearson recorded four solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned five yards. Hayes Preston recovered a fumble.
Garyon Hobbs led CAL’s ground game with 78 yards on six carries. Connor Hodge added 38 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Connor Hodge completed 35 of 51 passes for 495 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions. Darwin Cotton caught 15 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns. JaHyde Brown added nine receptions for 57 yards. Bryce Wilson recorded five catches for 52 yards. Garyon Hobbs added three receptions for 26 yards. Stone Perkins added two receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown. Gaines Howard returned one kickoff for 10 yards. Garyon Hobbs led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Grayden Reid added four solo and four assisted tackles. Darwin Cotton recorded five solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards. Tyree Stoner added five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Mann Robinson recorded three solo tackles and intercepted a pass.
