DeSales scored a late touchdown to earn a come-from-behind 17-14 victory over Lafayette. DeSales recorded 21 first downs and 364 yards of total offense. The Colts were penalized seven times for 40 yards and had a pass intercepted. Lafayette recorded 11 first downs and 216 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized four times for 23 yards and had one pass intercepted.

K. Merritt led DeSales’ ground game with 113 yards on 15 carries. Levi Riordan carried the ball eight times for 43 yards. C. Bischoff completed 21 of 35 passes for 214 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. DaVon Martin caught seven passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. K. Merritt added six catches for 58 yards. Silas Jones recorded four catches for 32 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Malone returned two kickoffs for 48 yards with a long return of 36 yards. Silas Jones led the defense with six solo tackles. Desmond Richards and Levi Riordan each recorded five solo tackles with two of Richard’s tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. DaVon Martin intercepted a pass he returned for 13 yards.

JJ Richardson led Lafayette’s ground game with 37 yards on 11 carries. Ransom Payton carried the ball seven times for 35 yards. Ransom Payton completed 11 of 20 passes for 141 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Jackson Grantz caught four passes for 86 yards and a touchdown. Triston Taylor caught four passes for 35 yards. C. Giannone returned one kickoff for 21 yards. J. Stephens returned one kickoff for 18 yards. Matthew Hardin led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss. C. Giannone added eight solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. CJ Young recorded five solo and one assisted tackles. Keiwan Franklin chipped in with four solo and three assisted tackles. J. Stephens scored on a 57 yard interception return.
