Owensboro Catholic defeated Owensboro by the score of 43-31 in a game characterized by “runs”. Owensboro Catholic raced out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter but Owensboro scored 24 unanswered points to take a 24-14 lead early in the third quarter. Owensboro Catholic got their offense untracked and took a 36-24 lead after three quarters. The teams traded touchdowns in the final quarter and Owensboro Catholic held on for the win. Owensboro Catholic recorded 512 yards of total offense, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. Owensboro recorded 478 yards. Lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.
Brady Atwell led Owensboro Catholic’s ground game with 104 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. Vince Carrico carried the ball seven times for 56 yards. Miles Edge recorded 53 yards on 10 carries. Brady Atwell completed 18 of 33 passes for 290 yards and four touchdowns with one interception. Cameron Woodward caught two passes for 77 yards. Waryn Ebelhar added five receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown. Miles Edge caught four passes for 60 yards and a touchdown. Dereon Crowe recorded three receptions and 47 yards and two touchdowns. Vince Carrico led the defense with five solo and nine assisted tackles. Jude Cecil added five solo and six assisted tackles. Miles Edge recorded two solo and seven assisted tackles. Chris Burns chipped in with seven assisted tackles. Jude Evans recorded a fumble and Dereon Crowe intercepted a pass.
Evan Hampton led Owensboro’s ground game with 102 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Trevor DeLacey carried the ball 15 times for 74 yards and a touchdown. Omarian Green scored on a one yard run. Trevor DeLacey completed 24 of 41 passes for 303 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Cayden Ray caught six passes for 92 yards. Kingston Dillard added eight receptions for 87 yards. Braden Bork recorded five receptions for 75 yards. Blake Kimbrell chipped in with two recptions for 27 yards and one touchdown. Evan Hampton caught three passes for 22 yards. Elijah Hampton led the defense with 10 solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Ty Ashley added six solo and two assisted tackles. Blake Kimbrell recorded five solo and two assisted tackles. Cayden Ray chipped in with three solo and four assisted tackles, Omarian Green recorded five solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned for 75 yards.
