Conner led 32-19 at halftime and held on to defeat Dixie Heights by the score of 35-31. Conner recorded 15 first downs and 368 yards of total offense. The Cougars were penalized seven times for 58 yards. Dixie Heights recorded 20 first downs and 472 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized three times for 45 yards and had a pass intercepted.
Wyatt Hatfield led Conner’s ground game with 241 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries. Cordion Abernathy added 70 yards on 17 carries. Wyatt Hatfield completed seven of nine passes for 53 yards and a touchdown. Chase Caplinger caught five passes for 36 yards and a touchdown. Cordion Abernathy led the defense with four solo and six assisted tackles. Chase Caplinger added five solo and four assisted tackles. Shepherd Dozier recorded four solo and three assisted tackles. Aydin Depenbrock chipped in with three solo and three assisted tackles. Camryn Correll intercepted one pass he returned 27 yards.
Armani Gregg led Dixie Height’s ground game with 191 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. David Anderson carried the ball five times for 21 yards and a touchdown. Max Neal recorded eight yards an da touchdown on two carries. Mason Fields completed 16 of 24 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. David Anderson caught nine passes for 103 yards. Nishawn Golsby caught one pass for 58 yards and a touchdown. Hudson Morris recorded one reception for 45 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Morehead led the defense with seven solo and seven assisted tackles. Lamiego Mutongwiza added three solo and eight assisted tackles. Dominic Storer recorded six solo and four assisted tackles. Nishawn Golsby chipped in with six solo and four assisted tackles.
