Frederick Douglass led 35-0 at halftime on their way to a 42-0 running clock shut out victory over Paul Layrence Dunbar. Frederick Douglass recorded 11 first downs and 413 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized six times for 64 yards. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded eight first downs and 108 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized four times for 25 yards.
Derion Talbert led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 70 yards and one touchdown on one carry. Carter Ross added 69 yards and one touchdown on one carry. Jaxon Strautman recorded 46 yards on one carry. Peyton Smith chipped in with 45 yards and a touchdown on one carry. Jaxon Strautman completed three of four passes for 116 yards and three touchdowns. Aveion Chenault, Terry Cayson, and Derion Talbert each caught touchdown passes of 64, 40, and 12 yards respectively. Aveion Chenault returned three punts for eight yards with a long return of nine yards. Keenan Banther led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles. Seandre Maxberry added two solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Jimmy Hooks recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Tacori Fields chipped in with three solo tackles.
Pacifique Ndywayo led Paul Laurence Dunbar’s ground game with 36 yards on 16 carries. Jerzee Mays added 24 yards on 10 carries. Dominic Faulkner completed one of eight passes for nine yards. Steven Estepp completed two of four passes for 11 yards. Ryan Barrett caught two passes for 19 yards. Jayshawn Crosby returned three kickoffs for 41 yards with a long return of 18 yards. Dominic Faulkner returned one kickoff for 27 yards. LeQuon Greer Jr., Jacob Konate, Elijah Lewis, Luke Ayoob, and Joseph Konate each recorded two solo tackles and one of Greer’s tackles resulted in a three yard loss.
