Nicholas County coach Reesa Martin started the following lineup: Sr. Mady Adams, Sr. Peyton Boone, So. Jadin Isaacs, 5-4 So. Caroline Banks, and 5-9 So. Maggie Simons. Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Tess Nelson, 5-6 So. Skylar Davis, 5-10 Sr. Belle Combs, 5-6 Jr. Anna Clay Denton, and 5-5 Sr. Abbey Popham.

Lafayette took control of the game in the second quarter by outscoring Nicholas County 20-5 0n their way to a 60-44 victory. Lafayette shot 45% from the field including three of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 19 Nicholas County trurnovers. Nicholas County shot 42.5% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Jackets connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored four points off nine Lafayette turnovers.

Tess Nelson led Lafayette with 24 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists. Belle Combs added 17 points, 14 rebounds, and five blocked shots. Anna Clay Denton chipped in with four points, three rebounds, eight assists, and three steals.

Maggie Simons led Nicholas County with 24 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, and five rebounds. Sidney Sexton added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Mady Adams recorded four points, five rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.
