West Jessamine coach Matt Hikens started the following lineup: 5-11 So. Claire Marshall, 5-9 Jr. Isabella Lewis, 5-11 Jr. Kimberly Johnson, 5-4 Jr. Katie Mastin, and 5-5 Fr. Novalee Smith. Madison Central coach Scott True countered with 5-7 Sr. Brooke Campbell, 5-5 Jr. Jordynn Miles. 5-9 Sr. Cameryn Ridderikhoff, 5-7 Sr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Sr. Nataya Strader.
Madison Central outscored West Jessamine 18-8 in overtime to earn a 78-68 victory over West Jessamine. The score was tied 60-60 at the end of regulation. There were nine ties and 19 lead changes in this game. Madison Central shot 48.4% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 21 West Jessamine turnovers. West Jessamine shot 41.7% from the field including 12 of 23 from beyond the arc. The Lady Colts connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 11 points off nine Madison Central turnovers. West Jessamine was without the services of PG Ariana McLoney who is out with a knee injury.
Cameryn Ridderikhoff led Madison Central with 32 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Nataya Strader added 20 points including six of 10 free throws, seven rebounds, five assists, and seven steals. Jordynn Miles chipped in with nine points. Brittany Campbell recorded eight points, seven rebounds, eight assists, and two steals. Tiana Long added six points and three rebounds.
Katie Mastin led West Jessamine with 17 points including five three point baskets, five rebounds, and seven assists. Claire Marshall added 16 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Isabella Lewis recorded 13 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists. Kimberly Johnson added 11 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals. 5-5 8th Grader recorded six points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.
