Lexington Christian Academy coach Tommy Huston started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Joe Duncan, 6-1 Jr. Patrick Nickodem, 6-5 Sr. Max Barjuca, 5-10 Sr. Carter Helton, and 6-2 Jr. Taylor Batnette.  Woodford county coach Scott Hundley countered with 6-4 Jr. David Greenwell, 6-3 Jr. Addison Hollin, 6-7 Jr. Jay Johnson, 5-11 Jr. William Starcher, and 6-1 Jr. Rodney Gross.

Lexington Christian Academy took advantage of Woodford County’s cold shooting (24%) in the first half to take a 35-14 lead on their way to a 61-47 victory.  LCA shot 46.8% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 17 Woodford County turnovers.  Woodford County shot 34.7% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Yellowjackets connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 LCA turnovers.

Taylor Barnette led a balanced LCA attack with 13 points.  Patrick Nickodem and 5-8 So. Tyler Harville added 11 points each.  Carter Helton added nine points and Max Barjuca chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.

Jay Johnson led Woodford County with 21 points and six rebounds.  David Greenwell added 12 points.

Scott County raced out to a 24-8 first quarter lead on their way to a 79-56 victory over Bell County.  Scott County shot 42% from the field including five of 20 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 16 of 27 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 27 Bell county turnovers.  Scott County attempted 35 more shots from the field (69-34) than Bell County.  Bell County shot 47.1% from the field including one of three from beyond the arc.  The Bobcats connected on 23 of 39 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 Scott County turnovers.

Tanner Shotwell and Tamron Manning led Scott County with 19 and 18 points respectively.

6-3 Jr. Kyle Lee led Bell County with 17 points.  Ben Madon and Tanner Lefevers added 15 points each.

Quinten Snider.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-2 Sr. Nick Ford, 6-1 Jr. John O’Bryan, 6-6 Jr. Hunter Allen, 6-0 Sr. Brenton Covington, and 6-0 So. Dominique Hawkins.

Ballard trailed 60-57 after three quarters bu rallied to defeat Madison Central 88-78 in a high scoring affair .  Ballard shot 49.3% from the field including 10 of 32 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 19 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 46.8% from the field including seven of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 27 of 37 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 16 turnovers.

DeVante Parker led five Ballard bruins in double figures with 20 points and 11 rebounds.  Kelan Martin, Quinten Snider, Danny Yackey, and Lavonne Holland added 14, 14, 14, and 13 points respectively.  Yackey recorded four thee point baskets.

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 21 points and eight rebounds.  John O’Bryan added 14 points including four three point baskets.  Hunter Allen chipped in with 13 points.

Madison Central led 29-26 and pulled away in the second half to defeat North Laurel 63-42.  Madison Central got 36 points off the bench with 14 players logging minutes with 12 entering the scoring column.  Madison Central shot 47.1% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 10 of 18 free throws. Pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 North Laurel turnovers.  North Laurel shot 30% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Madison Central turnovers.

6-4 So. hunter Stocker led a balanced Madison Central attack with 10 points.  6-0 So. Ken-Jah Bosley added nine points.  Dominique Hawkins and Nick Ford chipped in with seven points each.

Marcus Carson led North Laurel with 10 points.  5-11 So. Kendrick Henson added nine points.

Madison Central defeated Simon Kenton by a score of 57-37.  The second and fourth quarters proved to be disasterous for Simon Kenton as Madison Central held a 13-3 advantage in the second quarter and a 19-4 advantage in the fourth quarter. 

Madison Central shot 48% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored six points off 13 Simon Kenton turnovers.  Simon Kenton shot 22.2% from the field including five of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pioneers connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored seven points off eight Madison Central turnovers.

Larryn Brooks led Madison Central with 15 points, seven rebounds, and 11 assists.  Ashton Feldhaus also recorded 15 points.  Jenna Cornelison added 11 points, nine rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Sydni Wainscott led Simon Kenton with 15 points including three three point baskets.  Wainscott also pulled down eight rebounds.  Abby Owings added 11 points including two three point baskets.  Hannah Stephenson recorded five points and nine rebounds.

Elizabethtown 58  Christian Academy of Louisville 46 – Natalie Greenwell led Elizabethtown with 19 points including four three point baskets.  Greenwell also recorded seven rebounds and five assists.  Adelaide Luckett added 18 points and nine rebounds.  Tara Gilpin chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds.  Kate Joss led CAL with 24 points including five three point baskets.  China Dow added 11 points.

 

Perry County Central 74  Anderson County 58 – Kendall Noble led PCC with 35 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Noble was 13 of 18 from the field including two of three from beyond the arc and seven of nine from the free throw line.  Kayla Rankin added 28 points and seven rebounds.  Eriel McKee led Anderson County with 13 points and seven rebounds.  Sydney Brown and Mackenzie Cann added 12 and 10 points respectively.

 

Ryle 38  Franklin County 35 – Ryle star Jenna Crittendon was limited to 6:46 minutes today as a result of early foul problems and as a result of a fall.  It was decided to keep her out of the game for precautionary measures as a result of the fall.  Abby Jump led Ryle with 11 points and Dawn Johnson pulled down 12 rebounds.  McKell Oliverio, Tyianna Douthit, and Ashley Cheesman added eight points each.  Ashli Mayes and Lacinda Hack led Franklin County with 15 and 10 points respectively.

 

Boone County 71  Marion County 69 (OT) – Boone County led 32-12 but Marion County rallied in the second half to force overtime on a three pointer in the closing seconds of regulation by Makayla Epps.  Sydney Moss led Boone County with 24 points, 21 rebounds, and six assists.  Stacie Shrout added 15 points including four three point baskets and eight assists.  Elizabeth Switzer added 11 points and seven rebounds.  Makayla Epps led Marion County with 37 points including four three point baskets and six steals.  Bre Elder added 14 points and Kyvin Goodin-Rogers recorded 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Mercy Academy 53  Sacred Heart Academy 51 (Semifinal) – Mercy trailed 43-32 entering the final quarter but rallied to defeat Sacred Heart 53-51.  Christine Roush, Whitney Hartlage, and Emily Goetz led Mercy with 13, 12, and 12 points respectively.  Morgan Clemons led SHA with 22 points and eight rebounds.

 

Mercy Academy 62  duPont Manual 59 (Championship) – Mercy outscored Manual 21-11 in the final quarter to earn a 62-59 victory.  Mercy was 23 of 28 from the free throw line.  Whitney Hartlage led Mercy with 15 points.  Lauren Faris added 11 points and Emily Goetz chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  Destony Curry, Kara Wright, and Mechael Guess led Manual with 13, 10, and 10 points respectively.
