Sayre coach Scotty Sutton started the following lineup: 5-6 8th grade Sydney Strup, 5-7 Sr. Cammie Croney-Clark, 6-3 So. Gabby Bowie, 5-6 Jr. Hadyn White, and 5-8 Jr. Molly Manella.  Nicholas County coach Greg Letcher countered with 5-9 Sr. Shannon Bretz, 5-9 Sr. Reesa Martin, 5-9 Sr. Elizabeth Johnson, 5-5 So. Megan Bretz, and 5-8 Sr. Shelby Wade.

Nicholas County scored 27 points off 25 Sayre turnovers in a 52-37 victory.  Nicholas County shot 40.8% from the field including five of 19 from the three point line.  The Lady Jackets connected on seven of 16 free throws and pulled down 30 rebounds.  Sayre shot 40% from the field including one of six from beyond the arc.  The Lady Spartans connected on eight of 15 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored six points off 12 Nicholas County turnovers.

Reesa Martin led Nicholas County with 25 points including five three point baskets.  Morgan Bretz added 16 points, four assists, and four steals.  Shelby Wade pulled down 11 rebounds.

Molly Manella led Sayre with 13 points and five rebounds.  Gabby Bowie added nine points and 13 rebounds.

Quinn Pergande, 6-1 Jr. Martin Durmov, 6-6 Sr. Ray Brewer, 5-9 Sr. Ben Davis, and 6-0 Jr. Justin Sanders.  Nicholas County coach Kevin Reinhardt countered with 6-1 Jr. Logan Fryman, 5-11 Sr. Austin Allison, 6-4 Sr. Zack Howard, 5-9 So. Landon Sexton, and 5-9 Sr. Jacob Fryman.

Sayre outscored Nicholas County 21-4 in the second quarter on their way to a 62-46 victory.  Sayre shot 54.3% from the field including two of nine from the three point line.  The Spartans connected on 22 of 36 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 26 Nicholas County turnovers.  Nicholas County shot 31.7% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Jackets connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 24 Sayre turnovers.

Ray Brewer led Sayre with 25 points, nine rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Brewer was six of 11 from the field including zero of one from beyond the arc, and 13 of 19 free throws.  Justin Sanders and Martin Durmov each recorded 12 points.

6-0 So. Ben Duncan led Nicholas County with 18 points.  Zack Howard added nine points and Logan Fryman pulled down seven rebounds.

Sayre defeated Whitfield Academy by a score of 44-38.  Sayre shot 46.3% from the field including one of four from the three point line.  The Lady Spartans connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 18 Whitfield Academy turnovers.  Whitfield Academy shot 26.2% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Wildcats connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 18 Sayre turnovers.

Gabby Bowie led Sayre with 15 points, eight rebounds, and six blocked shots.  Sydney Strup added 10 points and five steals.  Molly Manella recorded nine points, eight rebounds, and four steals.  Cammie Croney-Clark chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.

Rachel Cowles led Whitfield Academy with 14 points including two three point baskets.  Kelsey Blackwell added 12 points.  5-7 So. Moriah Tedder chipped in with seven points and five rebounds.  Rachel Powers pulled down nine rebounds.

Montgomery County defeated Harlan county by a score of 94-77.  Harlan County led 41-40 at halftime but Montgomery County rallied and finally pulled away midway through the final quarter.  6-7 Sr. Omar Prewitt led the victors with 33 points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals.  6-0 Jr. Bryan Wallace added 28 points, five rebounds, and five steals.  6-2 Jr. Darius Jones recorded 18 points.

6-1 Sr. Tyler Brewer led Harlan County with 22 points.  6-4 So. Tyler Miller added 19 points.  6-3 Sr. Aaron Caldwell and 6-1 Sr. Chad Massingill chipped in with 16 and 11 points respectively.

It was a battle of the Feldhaus brothers in the coaching ranks tonight as Coach Willie Feldhaus’ Russell County Lakers captured an 89-83 decision over Coach Allen Feldhaus’ Madison Central Indians.  Madison Central raced out to a 23-12 first quarter lead but Russell County rallied to only trail 65-64 after three quarters and outscored the Indians 25-18 in the final quarter to complete the comeback.  Madison Central was plagued with foul woes as Ken-Jah Bosley, Quan Taylor, and Hunter Stocker all fouled out of the contest.  Russell County shot 59% from the field including a torrid 71% in the second half and connected on 25 of 31 free throws.  Madison Central shot 45% from the field and connected on 16 of 23 free throws.

6-2 Sr. Tyler Robertson led Russell County with 36 points.  6-6 So. Nick Coffey added 18 points and 6-1 Jr. Blake Ellis chipped in with 14 points.  6-1 Jr. Alex Turner recorded nine points.

6-1 Sr. Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 32 points.  6-1 Sr. Ken-Jah Bosley added 18 points.  6-3 So. Sam Jones came off the bench to record 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Lincoln County utilized a constant parade to the free throw line connecting on 30 of 40 free throws to capture a narrow 66-62 decision over Danville.  There were 29 lead changes and eight ties in this hotly contested game.  Lincoln County shot 37.8% from the field, connected on 30 of 40 free throws, and pulled down 34 rebounds.  Danville shot 40.8% from the field, connected on 14 of 19 free throws, and pulled down 30 rebounds.

6-0 Sr. Sydney Harris led Lincoln County with 18 points and eight rebounds.  5-5 Jr. Rachel Spangler and 5-9 Sr. Kourtney Belcher each scored 11 points.  5-6 So. Spencer Sims provided a spark off the bench with nine points.  5-8 Sr. Emily Fox added eight points and eight rebounds.

5-10 Sr. Kasey Young led Danville with 17 points and seven rebounds.  5-6 Jr. Laken Grey and 5-5 Jr. Essence Grey added 16 and 14 points respectively.

Ryan Schneider.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Brad Carter countered with 6-5 So. Matt Rose, 6-5 So. Benton Nighbert, 6-4 Jr. Michael Young, 5-10 So. Drew Schacht, and 5-10 Sr. Tyler Harville.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Franklin County by a score of 74-68.  The score was tied six times and there were nine lead changes in this contest.  LCA shot 53.7% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on nine of 17 from the free throw line, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 18 Franklin County turnovers.  Franklin County shot 46.7% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Flyers connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 13 LCA turnovers.

Tyler Harville led LCA with 27 points including three three point baskets, six assists, and three steals.  6-4 Sr. Jon Lannertone added 14 points.

Rylan Rowe led Franklin County with 25 points and three steals.  Ryan Schneider recorded 15 points and seven assists.  Chris Roberts added 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Conner Meyer pulled down eight rebounds.

Scott County defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 64-53.  Scott County shot 48.1% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 11 of 13 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored nine points off nine Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 37.3% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Knights connected on nine of 21 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Scott County turnovers.

Jalen Haddix led Scott County with 18 points and six rebounds.  Haddix was nine of 14 from the field.  Trent Gilbert added 15 points including two three point baskets.  Quin Richardson recorded 14 points and seven assists.  Dylan Portwood pulled down nine rebounds.

Tanner Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 15 points including three three point baskets and nine rebounds.  Jack Whitman added 14 points and nine rebounds.  Reese Ryan chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds.  Dillon Avare chipped in with 10 points including three three point baskets.  5-10 So. Michael Talbott dished out seven assists.

Lexington Catholic led 48-47 after three quarters and outscored Tates Creek 22-9 in the final quarter to earn a 70-56 victory.  There were five ties and 11 lead changes in the game.  Lexington Catholic shot 40% from the field including seven of 16 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 27 of 33 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 13 Tates Creek turnovers.  Lexington Catholic held a 25-2 advantage in bench scoring.  Tates Creek shot 42.1% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Commodores connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored four points off 11 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

5-8 Sr. Octavia Wilson led Lexington Catholic with 18 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Bailey Browning added 16 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.  Caroline Lynch chipped in with 13 points including nine of 10 free throws. 

Katie Pippen led Tates Creek with 18 points and 10 rebounds.  Oney Harrison added 17 points, six rebounds, and five assists.  Lexi Whaley recorded eight points, five rebounds, and five assists.

Jennifer Leonhardt.

Mercy Academy raced out to a 30-3 lead after the first quarter in a 69-18 victory over Fern Creek.  Mercy Academy’s starter minutes played ranged from 5:15 to 7:14 minutes tonight.  Mercy shot 42.8% from the field including four of 22 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 30 Fern Creek turnovers.  Mercy attempted 36 more shots (63-27) from the field than Fern Creek.  Fern Creek shot 29.6% from the field including one of six from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on one of seven free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored four points off 12 Mercy turnovers.

5-10 So. Sarah Parr led Mercy with 15 points and eight rebounds.  5-7 Fr. Julia Hodge added nine points.  5-10 So. Mackenzie Stoval pulled down eight rebounds.

Corina Hawkins led Fern Creek with six points.  5-10 Sr. Vorinie Thomas added four points and four points and seven rebounds.  5-2 Jr. Macie Jackson also scored four points.
