First of all Georgetown College did a great job hosting this game as a result of the game being moved from Richmond due to security precautions.  Eastern Kentucky rolled up 629 yard of total offense in a 48-17 victory over Tennessee Tech.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 29 first downs and 629 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized seven times for 95 yards and had three passes intercepted.  Tennessee Tech recorded 16 first downs and 211 yards of total offense.  They were not penalized tonight and lost one fumble.

Dy’Shawn Mobley led Eastern’s ground game with 115 yards on 25 carries.  Adam Lane carried the ball four times for 66 yards and a touchdown.  Ethan Thomas added 56 yards on nine carries.  Bennie Coney completed 32 of 46 passes for 351 yards and five touchdowns with two interceptions.  Devin Borders caught five passes for 36 yards and a touchdown.  Joel Brown also caught five passes for 35 yards.  Arien Beasley caught four passes for 136 yards and a touchdown.  Jon Floyd also recorded four receptions for 35 yards.  Dy’Shawn Mobley, Bryan Green, and Ben Madon also added touchdown receptions.  Shaquille  Prather led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles.  Jeffrey Canady added three solo and three assisted tackles.  Noah Spence recorded one solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Marquise Piton added three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Derrell Young added two solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards and recovered a fumble.

Ladarius Vanlier led Tennessee Tech’s ground game with 59 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.  Dorian Carter carried the ball eight times for 36 yards.  Colby Brown completed 16 of 28 passes for 148 yards and a touchdown.  Brock McCoin caught nine passes for 71 yards.  Jordan Smith added two receptions for 41 yards.  Krys Cates caught two passes for 15 yards and a touchdown.  Bill Dillard led the defense with seven solo and six assisted tackles.  Tre’Darius Goff added seven solo and four assisted tackles.  Jay Rudwall recorded five solo and four assisted tackles.  Maleek Hall, Anthony Flemister, and Daniel Pierce each recorded interceptions with Flemister recording a 44 yard return on his pick.

There were several anxious moments for the home standing Defenders tonight as star QB Andre Davis was unable to play tonight due to an injury.  However Quinten Floyd filled in admirably throwing for 215 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score to lead Bryan Station to a 19-7 victory over Dunbar.  Bryan Station recorded 11 first downs and 279 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized four times for 20 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 17 first downs and 245 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized three times for 16 yards and lost a fumble.

K-CI Carmichael led Bryan Station’s ground game with 43 yards on five carries.  Quinten Floyd completed eight of 13 passes for 215 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Devon Key caught five passes for 158 yards and a touchdown.  Mahari Sturgis caught three passes for 53 yards.  Romel Croley led the defense with five solo and nine assisted tackles.  Shane Preston added six solo and four assisted tackles.  Theo Overton recorded four solo and six assisted tackles.

Jefferson Harkless led Dunbar’s ground game with 154 yards on 27 carries.  Nate Gay carried the ball 17 times for 99 yards and a touchdown.  Kendall Roberts was zero of two in passes attempted.  Carter Hayslett led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles.  Quinton Dixon added four solo and one assisted tackles.  DeRante Sanders recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards.  Braxton Edge and Isaiah Yeast each intercepted a pass.

Anderson County raced out to a 21-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 35-26 victory over Woodford County.  Anderson County recorded 12 first downs and 257 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized five times for 40 yards, lost two fumbles and had two passes intercepted.  Woodford County recorded 15 first downs and 346 yards of total offense.  The Yellow Jackets were penalized five times for 37 yards and lost a fumble.

Ryan Martin led Anderson County’s ground game with 80 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.  Gunner Gillis completed eight of 13 passes for 137 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  John Garmon caught five passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns.  Ryan Martin added three receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown.  Brydon Labhart led the defense with 10 solo and three assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Bryce Franklin added seven solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards. 

Emir Bernabe led Woodford County’s ground game with 99 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.  Trey Thurman carried the ball six times for 38 yards and a touchdown.  Tre Winkfield caught five passes for 43 yards.  Dwayne Depp added two receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown.  Domynik Johnson caught two passes for 29 yards and a touchdown.  Johnathan Colley led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Malik Richards added four solo and one assisted tackles.  Ben Nash and Dwayne Depp each recovered a fumble and Depp and Domynik Johnson each intercepted a pass.

Lexington Christian Academy’s high powered ground game (42 attempts for 380 yards and seven touchdowns) led the Eagles to a 56-19 victory over Middlesboro.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 19 first downs and 451 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized 10 times for 105 yards.  Middlesboro recorded 15 first downs and 295 yards of total offense.  They were penalized eight times for 65 yards, lost a fumble and had two passes intercepted.

Dillon Wheatley led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground game with 323 yards and six touchdowns on 28 carries.  Brayden Miller completed 10 of 17 passes for 71 yards.  Ryan Stucky caught three passes for 46 yards.  Drayden Burton added three receptions on 27 yards.  Drayden Burton scored on an 85 yard kickoff return.  Brett Wilkins led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles.  Dillon Wheatley added four solo and five assisted tackles.  Clay Elliot recorded five solo and three assisted tackles.  Brett Wilkins and Ryan Stucky each intercepted a pass.

Dylan Pratt led Middlesboro’s ground game with 31 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.  Dylan Pratt completed 18 of 28 passes for 262 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Anthony Jackson caught four passes for 83 yards.  Chase Elliott added five receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown.  Taylor McClelland recorded three receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown.  Corey Hariston caught four passes for 44 yards.  Dylan Pratt led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles.  Anthony Jackson added seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Logan Capps recorded four solo and four assisted tackles.

Tates Creek defeated Madison Central 21-14 in overtime tonight.  Tates Creek got the first opportunity in overtime and Jaren Shelby scored on a 10 yard run and Aamer Shalash kicked the extra point to give Tates Creek a 21-14 lead.  Madison Central’s final possession ended on an incomplete pass in the end zone on fourth down.  Tates Creek recorded 18 first downs and 341 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized eight times for 70 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Madison Central recorded 12 first downs and 200 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized eight times for 78 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Jaren Shelby led Tates Creek’s ground game with 91 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.  Laron Warner carried the ball nine times for 47 yards.  Peyton Burke completed 15 of 26 passes for 191 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Robbie Lofton caught five passes for 92 yards and a touchdown.  Laron Warner added four receptions for 17 yards.  Turner Gentry caught three passes for 61 yards.  Sakima Opsal led the defense with 12 solo and three assisted tackles.  Jerrod Martin added six solo and one assisted tackles.  Dee Moorman recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.  Conner Gibson added two solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  DeQuan Pirtle and Darryl Bell each intercepted a pass.

Johan Williams led Madison Central’s ground game with 84 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.  Korrion Crier carried the ball 12 times for 59 yards and a touchdown.  Zach Hardin completed 11 of 21 passes for 61 yards with one interception.  Keenan Miller caught four passes for 16 yards.  John Williams added three receptions for 24 yards.  Tristian Moorehead led the defense with seven solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Jabari Huguely added six solo and two assisted tackles.  Jessie Cox recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 16 yard loss.  Korrion Crier and Dante Altamirano each intercepted a pass.

Spencer County raced out to a 34-7 halftime lead and held on down the stretch to earn a 47-42 victory.  Spencer County utilized their powerful ground game (59 carries for 452 yards and six touchdowns) to earn the victory.  Spencer County recorded 20 first downs and 515 yards of total offense.  They were penalized nine times for 83 yards and lost a fumble.  Franklin County recorded 16 first downs and 341 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized five times for 48 yards and lost three fumbles.

Lexington Catholic led 35-0 after the first quarter on their way to a 49-14 victory over Western Hills.  Lexington Catholic recorded 15 first downs and 384 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized seven times for 48 yards.  Western Hills recorded 10 first downs and 237 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 83 yards and lost a fumble.

Jaylen Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 83 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries.  Kirk Fagot completed seven of 15 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns.  JJ Ogbogu caught three passes for 149 yards and three touchdowns.  Andy Thompson scored on a 90 yard kickoff return.  Dylan Coulter led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Andy Hickey added five solo tackles.  Sid Sharp recorded three solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 15 yards.  A. Lauterbach added four solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 22 yards and recovered a fumble.

Justin Jenkins led Western Hills’ ground game with 47 yards on seven carries.  D. Childress added 44 yards on 17 carries.  Wandel Robinson carried the ball five times for 32 yards.  Thurman Seals carried the ball five times for 26 yards and a touchdown.  D. Childress completed eight of 15 passes for 93 yards.  Wandel Robinson caught five passes for 55 yards.  Wandel Robinson also scored on an 88 yard kickoff return.  Justin Jenkins led the defense with six solo tackles.  Wandel Robinson, DJ Green, and D. Lafayette defeated George Rogers Clark by a score of 43-13 tonight Lafayette recorded 13 first downs and 343 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized five times for 40 yards, and had a pass intercepted.  Lafayette only ran 34 offensive plays compared to 70 for GRC but averaged 10.1 yards per play compared to 3.4 yards for the Cardinals.  George Rogers Clark recorded 17 first downs and 236 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized four times for 35 yards, lost a fumble and had two passes intercepted.

Walker Wood led Lafayette’s ground game with 76 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Mason Alstatt carried the ball four times for 59 yards and a touchdown.  Walker Wood completed 10 of 14 passes for 179 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Quinten Brown caught five passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.  Dekwan Edwards added three receptions for 31 yards and two touchdowns.  Mason Alstatt also scored on an 85 yard punt return.  Ean Shaw led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 15 yards.  Tejrin McCoy added five solo and three assisted tackles.  Dezmon Simpson recorded five solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Cameron Morgan recovered a fumble and Michael Clay and Ricky Johnson each intercepted a pass.

Josiah Israel led George Rogers Clark’s ground game with 123 yards on 36 carries.  Pierce Nisbet completed eight of 17 passes for 68 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Owen Irvin completed four of seven passes for 42 yards and a touchdown.  Trevon Jones caught four passes for 42 yards.  Ohmante Jenkins added four receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown.  Kobe Coffee caught a three yard touchdown pass.  Ohmante Jenkins led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles with one tackles resulting in a five yard loss.  Brandon Kiniry added five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss.  Nick Wheeler intercepted a pass.

Scott County defeated Henry Clay by a score of 63-35.  Scott County’s powerful ground game recorded 372 yards and seven touchdowns on 50 carries (7.4 average).  Scott County recorded 22 first downs and 505 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized 15 times for 149 yards.  Henry Clay recorded 18 first downs and 377 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized six times for 40 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Noah Hughes led Scott County’s ground game with 145 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.  Keith Guy carried the ball 13 times for 106 yards and a touchdown.  Kendrick Hamilton added 101 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.  Josh Davis carried the ball three times for 19 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Davis completed seven of 11 passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns.  Keith Guy caught two passes for 74 yards and a touchdown.  Jordan Darnell added two receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown.  Tyler Braxton led the defense with six solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 19 yards and recovered a fumble.  Keeshon Brent added six solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss and recovered a fumble.  Dylan Smith recorded four solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned for 50 yards.  Caleb Demus kicked off 10 yards with seven touchbacks.

Kentucky trailed 27-13 with 7:39 left in the game but rallied for a 34-27 victory in overtime.  Kentucky scored the tying touchdown on a 5 yard pass from Patrick Towles to Dorian Baker with 52 seconds left in regulation and Miles Butler kicked the extra point.  Kentucky got the ball first in overtime and scored on a Patrick Towles 3 yard pass to Dorian Baker and the conversion kick by Miles Butler.  Eastern Kentucky University was unable to answer and Kentucky escaped with a victory.  Kentucky recorded 24 first downs and 384 yards of total offense.  The Cats were penalized six times for 46 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.  Eastern Kentucky University recorded 20 first downs and 363 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized eight times for 77 yards and lost a fumble.
