Eastern Kentucky University took the early fight to Kentucky and actually led 13-3 late in the second quarter and 16-10 late in the third quarter before Kentucky rallied for a 27-16 victory. University of Kentucky recorded 22 first downs and 436 yards of total offense. The Wildcats were penalized six times for 60 yards. Eastern Kentucky University recorded 17 first downs and 318 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized 11 times for 90 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.
Benny Snell led Kentucky’s ground game with 103 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Sihiem King carried the ball nine times for 61 yards. Stephen Johnson recorded 48 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Stephen Johnson completed 15 of 22 passes for 224 yards and a touchdown. Blake Bone caught three passes for 93 yards. Sihiem King added three receptions for 13 yards. Garrett Johnson recorded two receptions for 42 yards. Charles Walker caught two passes for 38 yards. CJ Conrad added two receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown. Lynn Bowden Jr. returned two kickoffs for 51 yards with a long return of 30 yards. Darius West led the defense with seven solo and four assisted tackles. Josh Allen added five solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 15 yard loss. Derrick Baity also recorded five solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Jordan Jones chipped in with four solo and four assisted tackles. Mike Edwards intercepted a pass.
LJ Scott led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 40 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Tim Boyle completed 24 of 35 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Austin Scott completed seven of eight passes for 54 yards. Ryan Markush caught 10 passes for 98 yards and a touchdown. Neiko Creamer added eight receptions for 82 yards. Daryl McCleskey recorded four receptions for 31 yards. LJ Scott returned four kickoffs for 141 yards with a long return of 53 yards. Keith Wrzuszczak punted five times for a 41.0 average with a long punt of 55 yards. Kobie Grace led the defense with nine solo and six assisted tackles. Jeffrey Canady added seven solo and six assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards. Corey Glass recorded three solo and four assisted tackles. Luder Jean Louis added two solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.

Covington Catholic rolled up 428 yards of total offense in a 35-14 victory over Kings tonight. Covington Catholic recorded 24 first downs and 428 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized nine times for 85 yards and had a pass intercepted. Kings recorded 16 first downs and 247 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized eight times for 70 yards and had a pass intercepted.
Casey McGinness led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 94 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. Grant Dyer carried the ball six times for 45 yards. AJ Mayer completed 20 of 32 passes for 262 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Casey McGinness caught five passes for 29 yards. Jack Coldiron added five receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown. Kameron Butler recorded three receptions for 26 yards. Malachi Pike caught two passes for 20 yards and a touchdown. Michael Mayer added two receptions for 44 yards. Luke Lenihan added two receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown.
Nak’emon Williams led Kings ground game with 53 yards on 16 carries. Ashton Koller carried the ball 12 times for 43 yards. Ty Stylski carried the ball seven times for 38 yards. Ashton Koller completed 10 of 20 passes for 101 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Jacob Elam caught six passes for 37 yards and a touchdown. Justin Wise added two receptions for 16 yards. Tommy Bauman caught one pass for 20 yards. Hunter Jessee added one reception for 28 yards.

Frederick Douglass defeated Lafayette by a score of 29-14. Douglass recorded 16 first downs and 312 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized 15 times for 150 yards and lost a fumble. Lafayette recorded 12 first downs and 282 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized 13 times for 145 yards and had two passes intercepted.
Jefferson Harkless led Douglass’ ground game with 74 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Montaveon Bean carried the ball 11 times for 63 yards and a touchdown. Montaveon Bean completed 12 of 26 passes for 110 yards. Gavin Bugg completed two of three passes for 51 yards and a touchdown. Micah Lowe caught four passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. Haiden Hunt added four receptions for 24 yards. Dekel Crowdus added three passes for 31 yards. Haiden Hunt returned two kickoffs for 74 yards with a long return of 46 yards. Jaylin Bybee led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss and intercepted a pass. Devin Neal added five solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards. D, Christopher and Obi Taylor each recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.

Kuantaze Cooper added two receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown. Jaylen Lawson led the defense with four solo and six assisted tackles. D. Fishback added five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 12 yard loss and recovered a fumble. Madison central defeated Madison Southern by a score of 37-13. Madison Central recorded 19 first downs and 476 yards of total offense. The Indians were penalized twice for 15 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted. Madison Southern recorded 14 first downs and 307 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized 10 times for 89 yards.
Gavin Hulberg led Madison Central’s ground game with 148 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries. Ethan Hahn carried the ball five times for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Antwaun Warford recorded 72 yards on five carries. Derrick Miller completed six of 14 passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Blake Muntz caught two passes for 51 yards and a touchdown. Evin Harris added two receptions for 14 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Hahn caught one pass for 45 yards. Jackson Juett led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles. Ben Snapp added four solo and two assisted tackles. Brennan Douglas recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his losses resulting in a nine yard loss.
Carter Smith led Madison Southern’s ground game with 78 yards on 11 carries. Landen Stacy carried the ball 10 times for 35 yards and a touchdown. Landen Stacy completed 15 of 24 passes for 95 yards. Tobias Storm completed his only pass for 83 yards and a touchdown. Hunter Richardson caught five passes for 125 yards and a touchdown. Zeke Benton returned two kickoffs for 49 yards. Nathaniel Eads led the defense with four solo and eight assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Carter Smith added three solo and six assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards. Alex Knuckles recorded three solo and five assisted tackles. Noah Hughes and Andrew Quinton each recovered a fumble.

Tates Creek defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar by a score of 37-0. Tates Creek recorded 15 first downs and 287 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized five times for 56 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 11 first downs and 121 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized eight times for 102 yards and had a pass intercepted.
Teonte White led the Tates Creek ground game with 145 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. Mikaleb Coffey carried the ball four times for 33 yards and a touchdown. Luke Duby completed two of 13 passes for 39 yards with one interception. Cameron Workman completed two of four passes for 28 yards and a touchdown. Keshawn Herron caught one pass for 39 yards. Miles Thomas added one reception for 21 yards and a touchdown. Cam Stewart led the defense with seven solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Hayden Gant added three solo and seven assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards. Thomas Galashaw recorded two solo and seven assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards. Teonte White added three solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 16 yards. Marcus Bosley recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.
Joe Walker led Dunbar’s ground game with 43 yards on 15 carries. Mitchell Joseph carried the ball seven times for 40 yards. Alex Bard added 38 yards on 19 carries. Tanner Cox completed seven of 19 passes for 37 yards. Darren Edmond caught three passes for 11 yards. Walker Mack added two receptions for 29 yards. Darren Edmond returned two kickoffs for 42 yards. J. Robinson returned three kickoffs for 66 yards with a long return of 38 yards. Tyler Browning led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles. Anderson County defeated Valley tonight by a score of 20-0. The Bearcats utilized the running of Blake Franklin (213 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries) and an aggressive defense that held Valley to a minus 7 yards on the ground to earn the victory tonight. Anderson County recorded 13 first downs and 228 yards of total offense. They were penalized 10 times for 100 yards and lost three fumbles. Valley recorded five first downs and 52 yards of total offense. They were penalized 12 times for 111 yards.
Blake Franklin led Anderson County’s ground game with 213 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. Zach Labhart carried the ball 12 times for 42 yards. Jagger Gillis was zero of one in the passing department. Austin Watts led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards. Joe Taylor added five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss. Justin Wilhoit recorded four solo and two assisted tackles. RJ Boies added four solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards. Andrew Lykins added two solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 24 yards.
LeToney Potter led Valley’s ground game with 19 yards on 15 carries. K. Hixenbaugh completed seven of 15 passes for 59 yards. J. Howard caught five passes for 44 yards. J. Howard returned two kickoffs for 46 yards with a long return of 47 yards. Kenneth Culver led the defense with six solo tackles and recovered a fumble. Nai-Vel Porter also recorded six solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 23 yards and recovered a fumble. Caleb Lane also recorded six solo tackles. Mason Williams recorded five solo tackles and recovered a fumble. Joseph Woodson added two solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards.

Henry Clay explodes for 42 points in the second half to defeat Southwestern 48-16 and claim their first victory of the season. Henry Clay recorded 18 first downs and 418 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized 10 times for 92 yards and lost a fumble. Southwestern recorded 12 first downs and 299 yards of total offense. The Warriors were penalized nine times for 72 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.
Tyree Clarke led Henry Clay’s ground game with 113 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries. Michael McMullen carried the ball 10 times for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Langston Jackson recorded 62 yards on 10 carries. Darrin Van Horn completed four of nine passes for 45 yards. Zac Berezewitz completed one of four passes for 63 yards and one touchdown. Michael McMullen caught three passes for 23 yards. Tyree Clarke caught a 63 yard touchdown pass. Cameron Maynard led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 33 yards. Ramond Jackson added seven solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss. Avery Benton recorded six solo and one assisted tackles. Jordan Kimball intercepted a pass he returned 48 yards for a touchdown. John Felty recovered a fumble.
Patric Edwards led Southwestern’s ground game with 95 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Drew Sawyers carried the ball seven times for 53 yards. Joe Floyd completed seven of nine passes for 35 yards. Drew Sawyers completed two of six passes for 119 yards and one touchdown with one interception. JP Vaught caught five passes for 141 yards and a touchdown. Austin Barnes led the defense with six solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards. Christian Bach added four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards. Kody Price recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards. Cody Harmon recorded a fumble recovery.
