Covington Catholic defeated Ryle by the score of 37-22. Covington Catholic recorded 22 first downs and 431yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized three times for 15 yards. Ryle recorded 21 first downs and 313 yards of total offense. The Raiders were penalized once for 10 yards and lost three fumbles.

Owen Leen led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 96 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries. Evan Pitzer carried the ball six times for 63 yards and a touchdown. Evan Pitzer completed 17 of 24 passes for 271 yards and one touchdown. Willie Rodriguez caught three passes for 75 yards and one touchdown. Oliver Link added two receptions for 55 yards. Noah Johnson recorded two receptions for 37 yards. Braylon Miller chipped in with four receptions for 33 yards. Josh Flood caught two passes for 31 yards. Braylon Miller returned four kickoffs for 97 yards with a long return of 35 yards. Tate Kruer punted twice for a 42.0 average. Tate Kruer led the defense with eight solo tackles. Josh Flood and Willie Rodriguez added six and five solo tackles respectively. Josh Flood and Isaac Mason each recovered a fumble.

JR Hayes led Ryle’s ground game with 24 yards on six carries. Logan Verax carried the ball eight times for 19 yards. Jacob Savage carried the ball eight times for 15 yards and two touchdowns. Logan Verax completed 22 of 33 passes for 266 yards and one touchdown. Landon Lorms caught 12 passes for 131 yards and one touchdown. JR Hayes caught six passes for 47 yards. Nathan Verax returned three kickoffs for 71 yards with a long return of 30 yards. Gavin Lyons returned two kickoffs for 28 yards with a long return of 21 yards. Scott County defeated Madison Southern by the score of 51-7. Scott County recorded 19 first downs and 327 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized seven times for 47 yards and lost a fumble. Madison Southern recorded four first downs and 140 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized eight times for 48 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Jacob Fryman led Scott County’s ground game with 99 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Thomas Feickert carried the ball eight times for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Ally Hamdiyah recorded 33 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Ellis Hugley chipped in with 29 yards on five carries. Andrew Hickey completed seven of 11 passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns. Eli Lilly caught two passes for 46 yards and two touchdowns. Antonio Frye returned a punt for 21 yards. Red Owens returned one kickoff for 36 yards. Buddy Collins returned one kickoff for 27 yards. JaSante Harmon led the defense with four solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards. Jackson Damron added two solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards and recovered a fumble. “Basketball on grass, fast break football, arcade football, whatever” this was a game for the ages. Lexington Christian Academy held on to defeat Bowling Green by the score of 56-52 in a game that featured a total of 108 points, 58 first downs and 1309 yards of total offense. This was supposed to be a showcase featuring LCA QB Cutter Boley and Bowling Green QB Deuce Bailey and they lived up to their advance billing. However, this night belonged to Brady Hensley who transferred from Madison Central to LCA. Brady carried the ball 30 times for 402 yards and five touchdowns and caught five passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns.

Lexington Christian Academy recorded 31 first downs and 800 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized six times for 44 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted. Bowling Green recorded 27 first downs and 509 yards of total offense. The Purples were penalized three times for 20 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Brady Hensley led LCA with 402 yards and five touchdowns on 30 carries. BJ Evans added 41 yards on three carries. Cutter Boley completed 22 of 35 passes for 342 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Brady Hensley caught five passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Parker Chaney caught five passes for 85 yards. Saxton Howard chipped in with four receptions for 33 yards. Will Rich caught three passes for 72 yards and one touchdown. Nate Barnhardt added three receptions for 38 yards. Tyler King returned three kickoffs for 64 yards with a long return of 26 yards. Saxton Howard added two returns for 38 yards and Braylon Moss chipped in with two returns for 25 yards. Parker Chaney returned one kick for 24 yards. Hunter Adams led the defense with seven solo and six assisted tackles. Parker Chaney added six solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned five yards. BJ Evans recorded four solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards. Jackson Dilloe recovered a fumble.

Javen Huddleston led Bowling Green’s ground game with 42 yards on nine carries. Deuce Bailey completed 31 of 42 passes for 478 yards and four touchdowns with one interception. Christopher Sweeney caught nine passes fgor 96 yards and a touchdown. Trevy Barber added eight receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Warder chipped in with eight catches for 83 yards. Matthew Klein caught four passes for 119 yards and one touchdown. Javen Huddleston added two receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown.Trevy Barber returned three kickoffs for 138 yards including a 90 yard return for a touchdown. Christopher Sweeney returned five kickoffs for 111 yards with a long return of 29 yards. Grayson Newman led the defense with five solo and eight assisted tackles and scored on a 31 yard fumble recovery return. AJ Woodard added five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Evan Tuck recorded five solo and one assisted tackles. Jordan Green added two solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards. Max Buchanon chipped in with two solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 19 yards for a touchdown. Brandon Gurley also recovered a fumble.

Trinity forced five Bryan Station turnovers in a 36-3 victory over the visiting Defenders tonight. Trinity recorded 10 first downs and 187 yards of total offense. The Shamrocks were penalized four times for 30 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. Bryan Station recorded 15 first downs and 191 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized six times for 48 yards, lost three fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Clinton Sansbury led Trinity’s ground game with 113 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries. Jeremiah Lynn added 15 yards on two carries. Jackson Hepner completed five of six passes for 44 yards and a touchdown. Jeremiah Lynn caught two passes for nine yards. Lucas Sasser caught a 32 yard touchdown pass. Jeremiah Lynn had one punt return for 35 yards and one kickoff return for 37 yards. Carson Hilbert punted three times for a 37.7 average and kicked off five times for a 58.2 average with two touch backs. L. Mitchell led the defense with five solo tackles. Charles Schmidt added four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss. B. Enaney recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 21 yards. Jayden Lockhart scored on a 28 yard fumble recovery. William Tronzo and Lucas Sasser each recovered a fumble. B. Stafford and Andrew Davis each intercepted a pass.

Bayubahe Benit led the Bryan Station ground game with 43 yards on 10 carries. Trenton Cutwright completed 18 of 28 passes for 183 yards with two interceptions. JT Haskins Jr, caught six passes for 76 yards. Javari Burnett added six receptions for 57 yards. Dah’Von Frazier recorded five receptions for 53 yards. Z. White returned two kickoffs for 40 yards. Conner ran their option offense flawlessly tonight in an impressive 45-21 victory over Paul Laurence Dunbar. Conner recorded 27 first downs and 396 yards of total offense. The Cougars were penalized eight times for 82 yards and had one pass intercepted. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 15 first downs and 328 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized 10 times for 80 yards and lost three fumbles.

Cordion Abernathy led Conner’s ground game with 146 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. Wyatt Hatfield added 117 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Chase Caplinger chipped in with 27 yards on two carries. Wyatt Hatfield completed six of nine passes for 64 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Ben Fay caught four passes for 43 yards and a touchdown. Chase Caplinger returned one kickoff for 29 and Elliot Butcher returned a kickoff for 16 yards. Oldham County defeated Lafayette by the score of 35-14. There were a total of eight turnovers, 24 penalties, and 240 penalty yards assessed between the two teams and Lafayette was held to a -6 yards in 16 rushing attempts. Oldham County recorded 22 first downs and 386 yards of total offense. They were penalized 15 times for 155 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted. Lafayette recorded nine first downs and 101 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized nine times for 85 yards, lost a fumble, and had four passes intercepted.

Caden Sheppard led Oldham County’s ground game with 139 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries. Derek Dees carried the ball 14 times for 116 yards and a touchdown. Kayden Osbourn chipped in with 70 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries. Derek Dees completed 11 of 14 passes for 76 yards. Isaac Bowman caught five passes for 28 yards. Miller Brown added three receptions for 22 yards. Miller Brown returned one punt for 15 yards. Isaac Bowman returned one kickoff for 31 yards. Kayden Osbourn returned two kickoffs for 43 yards with a long return of 27 yards. Brendan Haskin led the defense with two solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards. Lincoln Wolf added two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles tesulting in a six yard loss. Tylor Roark recorded one solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 19 yards. Kayden Osbourn, Grant Turner, and Miller Brown each intercepted a pass.

Dez Hanley led Lafayette’s ground game with six yards on four carries. Isaac Barrow completed nine of 18 passes for 83 yards and one touchdown with three interceptions. Nemo Jarber caught three passes for 34 yards. Kevin Amuri added two receptions for 23 yards. Nasie Andrews chipped in with two receptions for 22 yards. DJ Walker caught a 21 yard touchdown pass. Terraze Taylor returned two kickoffs for 49 yards with a long return of 36 yards. Dez Hanley led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles. DJ Jones recorded four solo and five assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Matt Hardin also recovered a fumble and Kevin Amuri scored on a 22 yard interception return.

Fleming County defeated Henry Clay by the score of 20-18. Henry Clay took an 18-7 lead with 8:18 left in the third quarter but Fleming County but scored touchdowns on a 65 yard interception return by Chris Collett and a five yard run by Austin Trent to give Fleming County a 20-18 lead after three quarters. Fleming County made the lead hold up and left town with the victory. Fleming County recorded 18 first downs and 305 yards of total offense. They were penalized three times for 45 yards and lost a fumble. Henry Clay recorded nine first downs and 223 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized five times for 44 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Austin Trent led Fleming County’s ground game with 246 yards and two touchdowns on 42 carries. Nate Ruark completed six of 12 passes for 49 yards. Landon Johnson caught five passes for 45 yards. Jordan Ham returned three kickoffs for 35 yards. Aiden Johnson led the defense with three solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards. Isaac Frye added four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss. Chris Collett intercepted one pass which he returned 65 yards for a touchdown. Jordan Ham recorded two solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned three yards.

Rohan Taylor led the Henry Clay ground game with 31 yards on nine carries. Amtoine Webb carried the ball once for 22 yards. Rohan Taylor completed six of 16 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Walden Cole caught four passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Scyler Hersey returned one punt for 18 yards. L. Merriman returned two kickoffs for 42 yards. Ethan Cooper kicked off four times for a 53.8 average. Luke DiNardo led the defense with nine solo and four assisted tackles. Aly Gueye added six solo and seven assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards. Hudson Cole recorded six solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss. Walden Cole chipped in with fous olo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Tates Creek buoyed by three interceptions defeated Eastern on the road by a score of 21-14. Tates Creek recorded seven first downs and 217 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized nine times for 85 yards and did not turn the ball over tonight. Eastern recorded 12 first downs and 268 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized twice for 10 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Mar’Quevion Smith led Tates Creek’s ground game with 59 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. Andrew Witherington carried the ball six times for 33 yards. Andrew Witherington completed eight of 18 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown. Senator Clay caught two passes for 64 yards. Luke Cooper added two receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown. Mason Jackson also caught two passes for 22 yards. Brody Dunham returned one kick off for 17 yards. Mason Jackson also returned a kickoff for 14 yards. Logan Julian led the defense with 10 solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards. Cardale Wright added eight solo tackles and Stephan Jones chipped in with six solo tackles. Detrell Jackson recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards. Brody Dunham added two solo tackles and intercepted two passes for 95 yards of return yardage including a 95 yard touchdown return. Senator Clay intercepted a pass he returned 18 yards. Emmanuel Castro punted six times for a 32.5 averaged and kicked off four times for a 58 yard average.

Cameron Russ led Eastern’s ground game with 74 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Tristen Martin added 25 yards on eight carries. Zane Wagner completed 13 of 25 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Joshua Shipley completed two of four passes for four yards with two interceptions. Cameron Russ caught seven passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. Tristen Martin added three receptions for 39 yards. Joshua Shipley caught two passes for 70 yards. Joshua Shipley returned three punts for 17 yards and one kickoff for 42 yards. Nathan Wagner returned two kickoffs for 84 yards with a long return of 55 yards. William Bird led the defense with six solo tackles. Lcory Points added five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Grayson Napier recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Tyler Tribble added four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss.

Leslie County coach Larry Sparks started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Baylee Davidson, 5-7 Sr. Courtney Hoskins, 6-0 Sr. Emma Napier, 5-3 Jr. Eden Melton, and 5-4 Jr. Iris Napier. Covington Holy Cross coach Ted Arlinghaus countered with 5-9 Sr. Nejai Lewis, 5-9 Jr. Miyah Wimzie, 6-2 Jr. Julia Hunt, 5-5 Sr. Aleah Arlinghaus, and 5-8 Jr. Aaliyah Hayes.

Covington Holy Cross raced out to a 22-4 first quarter lead on their way to a 71-38 victory over Leslie County. The Indians recorded 12 three point baskets and their defense recorded 13 steals, two blocked shots and scored 23 points off 18 Leslie County turnovers. Holy Cross shot 55.6% from the field including 12 of 19 from the three point line. The Indians connected on nine of 17 free throws and pulled down 30 rebounds. Leslie County shot 38.6% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on two of three free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored four points off 13 Holy Cross turnovers.

Julia Hunt led Covington Holy Cross with 18 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and two assists. 5-9 Sr. Sarah Bottom added 11 points including three three point baskets. 5-6 Sr. Elizabeth McCoy recorded 10 points including three three point baskets. Aaliyah Hayes chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets and four of four free throws. 5-9 So. Aumani Nelson added five points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Aleah Arlinghaus recorded four points, eight assists, and two steals.

Emma Napier led Leslie County with 19 points and six rebounds. Courtney Hoskins added 13 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Baylee Davidson recorded seven rebounds and four assists.

Berea coach Dammian Stepp countered with 5-7 Jr. Sophie Brewer, 5-6 Jr. Mandy Newman, 6-2 Jr. Lauren Stepp, 5-1 Jr. Maddy King, and 5-7 Jr. Abigail Beard.

Owen County trailed 20-17 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Berea by the score of 30-25. The score was tied four times and there were five lead changes in the game. Owen County shot 40% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Rebels connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 14 Berea turnovers. Berea shot 43.5% from the field including two of four from beyond the arc. The Lady Pirates connected on three of four free throws, pulled down 12 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Owen County turnovers.

Zoey Webster led Owen County with 17 points including five three point baskets. Kylee Steffen added five points. Gracie Ferguson recorded four points and seven rebounds. Rachel Howard chipped in with two points, four rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Abigail Beard led Berea with 10 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Lauren Stepp added eight points and five rebounds. Sophie Brewer recorded six points and three steals.

Danville defeated Portland Christian by the score of 70-35. Danville shot 36.7% from the field including eight of 22 from the three point line. The Lady Admirals connected on 18 of 26 free throws, pulled down 51 rebounds, and scored 33 points off 26 Portland Christian turnovers. Portland Christian shot 26.9% from the field including one of six from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on six of 13 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 21 Danville turnovers.

5-4 So. Alayah Quisenberry led Danville with 18 points including four three point baskets, six rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Desiree Tandy added 15 points including five of five free throws, six rebounds, and four steals. Samantha Bottom recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and two steals. Jazelynn Doneghy chipped in with eight points including five of six free throws and five rebounds. 5-6 So. Nemaeh Jackson added eight points, four rebounds, and two assists. 5-6 So. Myla Turner recorded five points, nine rebounds, six assists, and two steals.

Ellie Heid led Portland Christian with 13 points, five rebounds, three assists, and seven steals. Kaela Ballard added seven points, two rebounds, and three assists. Reagan Mulvey and Addie Bragg pulled down eight and seven rebounds respectively. Piper Scott chipped in with four points, three rebounds, and three steals.

Pikeville raced out to a 26-2 first quarter lead on their way to a 76-23 victory over Carlisle County. Pikeville shot 51.8% from the field including nine of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Panthers connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 38 points off 30 Carlisle County turnovers. Carlisle County shot 34.8% from the field including one of three from beyond the arc. The Lady Comets connected on six of 14 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored four points off 10 Pikeville turnovers.

Trinity Rowe led Pikeville with 25 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Kristen Whited added 11 points, four assists, and two steals. Rylee Theiss recorded eight points, five rebounds, and three steals. 5-4 Fr. Kylie Alvin chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and two assists. Kyera Thornsbury added six points, two rebounds, five assists, and six steals.

Whitefield Academy led 30-22 after three quarters but Hancock County staged a comeback as Whitefield was zero of seven from the field in the final quarter. Whitefield Academy shot 25.6% from the field including three of 17 from the three point line.
