Scott County used their patented Wing-T ground game and picking their spots to sprinkle in some well placed passes to earn a 35-14 victory over Great Crossing. Scott County recorded 28 first downs and 492 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized nine times for 75 yards and lost one fumble. Great Crossing recorded 10 first downs and 208 yards of total offense. They were penalized eight times for 79 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Ellis Huguely led Scott County’s ground game with 161 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Jacob Fryman carried the ball 24 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns. Thomas Feickert added 58 yards on 10 carries. Kanye Garrett recorded 48 yards on eight carries. Andrew Hickey completed four of six passes for 71 yards and one touchdown. Eli Lilly caught two passes for 40 yards. Ellis Huguely caught a 28 yard touchdown pass. Paul Garner returned three kickoffs for 48 yards with a long return of 19 yards. Luke Valencia led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Paul Garner added five solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted one pass. Jacob Blair recorded three solo and four assisted tackles. Antonio Frye recovered a fumble and J. Stevenson intercepted a pass.

M. Pettigrew led Great Crossing’s ground game with 72 yards on 17 carries. Isaiah Johnson carried the ball eight times for 65 yards and a touchdown. Jeremiah Clark recorded 39 yards on five carries. Jeremiah Clark completed three of nine passes for 27 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Hunter Moody caught three passes for 27 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Johnson returned four kickoffs for 60 yards with a long return of 17 yards. Jacob Johnson and Gavin Moore each returned one kickoff for 22 and 20 yards respectively. Logan Clayton led the defense with 10 solo and seven assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Zach Morris added seven solo and five assisted tackles. Peyton Mullanix recorded six solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss. Elijah Fryman added six solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss and recovered a fumble.

Franklin County defeated Bryan Station by the score of 17-10. Franklin County recorded 15 first downs and 281 yards of total offense. The Flyers were penalized eight times for 65 yards. Bryan Station recorded eight first downs and 158 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized seven times for 68 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Christian Moore led Franklin County’s ground game with 114 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. Jayquan Crawford carried the ball 11 times for 43 yards. Gavin Hurst completed four of six passes for 117 yards. Jaizon Collins caught one pass for 76 yards. Luke Toothaker added one reception for 26 yards. Jacob Taylor recorded two receptions for 15 yards. Delano Collins returned two kickoffs for 32 yards with a long return of 18 yards. Easton Powell kicked a 33 yard field goal, added two extra point kicks, and kicked off four times for a 58 yard average with three touchbacks. Jeremy Walters led the defense with three solo and seven assisted tackleswith one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Jacob Taylor added one solo tackle and seven assisted tackles. Shalom Moore recorded two solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.

Bayubahe Benit led Bryan Station’s ground game with 46 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Kalen Washington added 15 yards on seven carries. Jaxson Branham carried the ball twice for 15 yards. Trenton Cutwright completed three of nine passes for 12 yards with one interception. Jaxson Branham completed three of seven passes for 75 yards. JT Haskins Jr. caught four passes for 59 yards. Demond Green and Dah’Von Frazier each caught one pass for 15 and 13 points respectively. Trenton Cutwright punted twice for a 41.0 average. Demond Green returned one kickoff for 27 yards. Jah’Von Frazier led the defense with 11 solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards. Jason Hocker added six solo and three assisted tackles. Frederick Douglass went into this game without the services of QB Cole Carpenter but led 17-0 late in the game but had to withstand a furious rally by Trinity to earn a 17-14 victory. Trinity scored on a 34 yard pass to Luke Sasser from Zane Johnson and a conversion kick by Carson Hilbert with 4:59 left on the clock to pull within 10; 17-10. Trinity recovered an onside kick on the ensuing play and Jeremiah Lynn caught a 17 yard TD pass from Zane Johnson and a kick by Hilbert to pull the Shamrocks within 3; 17-14 with 2:57 left in the game but Frederick Douglass was able to hold on for a big road win. Frederick Douglass recorded eight first downs and 196 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized 11 times for 110 yards and had a pass intercepted. Trinity recorded 11 first downs and 188 yards of total offense. The Shamrocks were penalized five times for 54 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Pharo Watts led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 59 yards on 14 carries. Tay Tay Allen added 32 yards on 10 carries. Jaxon Strautman completed seven of 17 passes for 114 yards and a touchdown with one interception. Darion Talbert caught three passes for 84 yards and a touchdown. Jeremiah Lowe returned three punts for 61 yards including a long return of 47 yards. Avieon Chenault returned two punts for 19 yards including a long punt of 13 yards. Darion Talbert returned one kickoff for 24 yards. Cooper Ranvier kicked two extra points and a 32 yard field goal. He also punted four times for a 50.2 average with a long punt of 62 yards and kicked off four times for a 59.8 yard average with three touchbacks. Darion Neal led the defense with dix solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards. Kaden Clay added five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss and scored on a 21 yard interception return. Terrion Hicks recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.

Clinton Sansbury led Trinity’s ground game with 30 yards on 10 carries. Zane Johnson carried the ball six times for 22 yards. Jackson Hepner added 20 yards on one carry. Zane Johnson completed 16 of 26 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns. Jackson Hepner completed two of three passes for -6 yards with one interception. Jeremiah Lynn caught seven passes for 56 yard and a touchdown. Lucas Sasser added three receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown. Caleb Ricks returned one kickoff for 29 yards. Andrew Davis led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. B. McEnaney added four solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards. L. Mitchell recorded three solo and three assisted tackles. Jayden Lockhart chipped in with two solo and four assisted tackles. Robert Morrow recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned 20 yards.

Mercer County outscored Paul Laurence Dunbar 28-7 after the intermission to pull away for a 42-17 victory. Mercer County recorded 17 first downs and 351 yards of total offense. The Titans were penalized 10 times for 70 yards. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 14 first downs and 274 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized 11 times for 76 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Denim Griffieth led Mercer County’s ground game with 128 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Thaddeus Mays carried the ball 15 times for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Ashton Drakeford added 40 yards and two touchdowns on six carries. Malachi Davis chipped in with 27 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Thaddeus Mays completed seven of 17 passes for 68 yards. Ashton Drakeford caught four passes for 37 yards. Jackson Perry added two receptions for 28 yards. Ashton Drakeford returned one punt for six yards and one kickoff for 35 yards. The Eagles were penalized seven times for 48 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Mar’Quevion Smith led Tates Creek’s ground game with 64 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries. Logan Julian carried the ball four times for 38 yards. Andrew Witherington added 26 yards on four carries. Andrew Witherington completed 16 of 27 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions. Thomas Seigler caught five passes for 40 yards. Luke Cooper added four receptions for 80 yards and one touchdown. Senator Clay recorded two receptions for 53 yards. Mar’Quevion Smith chipped in with two catches for 15 yards and a touchdown. JT Cooper added a 25 yard touchdown reception. Cooper raced out to a 42-0 halftime lead and played their JV in the second half on their way to a 42-2 victory over Henry Clay. The Blue Devils had opportunities early in the game but could not punch it into the end zone. Cooper recorded 18 first downs and 334 yard of total offense. The Jaguars were penalized nine times for 60 yards. Henry Clay recorded five first downs and 155 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized seven times for 65 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Keagan Maher led Cooper’s ground game with 93 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries. Elijah Laurent carried the ball four times for 54 yards. Mason Stanton recorded six yards and a touchdown on two carries. Cameron O’Hara completed 11 of 12 passes for 181 yards and three touchdowns. Isaiah Johnson caught six passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Austin Alexander caught two passes for 43 yards and a touchdown. Mason Stanton added two receptions for 27 yards. Austin Alexander led the defense with three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards. Alex Vogelpohl added three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss. Max Wethington recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss. Colton Graham recovered a fumble and Ryker Campbell intercepted a pass.

Frank Niyonyishu led Henry Clay;s ground game with 12 yards on three carries. Isaiah McQueen carried the ball once for 10 yards. Rohan Taylor completed four of 12 passes for 118 yards with one interception. Luke DiNardo caught two passes for 101 yards. Walden Cole added two receptions for 10 yards. Landon Merriman caught one pass for 43 yards. Landon Merriman returned six kickoffs for 114 yards with a long return for 24 yards. Walden Cole led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards. Henry Mackey added one solo and three assisted tackles. Henry County defeated Lafayette by the score of 34-0. Henry County recorded 16 first downs and 284 yards of total offense. They were penalized seven times for 100 yards and lost a fumble. Lafayette recorded 12 first downs and 132 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized eight times for 74 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Ray Matthews led Henry County’s ground game with 185 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. Jordan King carried the ball four times for 22 yards. Morgan Wilson carried the ball once for seven yards and a touchdown. Jordan King completed six of 12 passes for 60 yards and two touchdowns. Brandon McColl caught three passes for 24 yards. Brody Lyons added two receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown. Kyle Gillingham caught a 12 yard touchdown pass. Brandon McColl returned one kickoff for 46 yards. Craig Cole led the defense with six solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Nathan Corum added six solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Brody Staples recorded five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss. Kyle Gillingham added four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards. Brody Lyons recoverd one fumble and intercepted a pass he returned 51 yards.

Dez Hanley led Lafayette’s ground game with 22 yards on eight carries. CJ Carpenter carried the ball nine times for 16 yards. CJ Carpenter completed 10 of 19 passes for 85 yards with two interceptions. Nasir Andrews caught three passes for 37 yards. DJ Walker added two receptions for 13 yards. Terraze Taylor returned two kickoffs for 30 yards with a long return of 16 yards. Jackson Stephens and Dez Hanley led the defense with five solo tackles each. Matt Hardin added four solo tackles. Owen Leen led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 96 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries. Evan Pitzer carried the ball six times for 63 yards and a touchdown. Evan Pitzer completed 17 of 24 passes for 271 yards and one touchdown. Willie Rodriguez caught three passes for 75 yards and one touchdown. Oliver Link added two receptions for 55 yards. Noah Johnson recorded two receptions for 37 yards. Braylon Miller chipped in with four receptions for 33 yards. Josh Flood caught two passes for 31 yards. Basketball on grass, fast break football, arcade football, whatever” this was a game for the ages. Lexington Christian Academy held on to defeat Bowling Green by the score of 56-52 in a game that featured a total of 108 points, 58 first downs and 1309 yards of total offense. This was supposed to be a showcase featuring LCA QB Cutter Boley and Bowling Green QB Deuce Bailey and they lived up to their advance billing. However, this night belonged to Brady Hensley who transferred from Madison Central to LCA. Brady carried the ball 30 times for 402 yards and five touchdowns and caught five passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns.

Lexington Christian Academy recorded 31 first downs and 800 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized six times for 44 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted. Bowling Green recorded 27 first downs and 509 yards of total offense. The Purples were penalized three times for 20 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Brady Hensley led LCA with 402 yards and five touchdowns on 30 carries. BJ Evans added 41 yards on three carries. Cutter Boley completed 22 of 35 passes for 342 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Brady Hensley caught five passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns. Parker Chaney caught five passes for 85 yards. Saxton Howard chipped in with four receptions for 33 yards. Will Rich caught three passes for 72 yards and one touchdown. Nate Barnhardt added three receptions for 38 yards. Tyler King returned three kickoffs for 64 yards with a long return of 26 yards. Saxton Howard added two returns for 38 yards and Braylon Moss chipped in with two returns for 25 yards. Parker Chaney returned one kick for 24 yards. Hunter Adams led the defense with seven solo and six assisted tackles. Parker Chaney added six solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned five yards. BJ Evans recorded four solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards. Jackson Dilloe recovered a fumble.

Javen Huddleston led Bowling Green’s ground game with 42 yards on nine carries. Deuce Bailey completed 31 of 42 passes for 478 yards and four touchdowns with one interception. Christopher Sweeney caught nine passes fgor 96 yards and a touchdown. Trevy Barber added eight receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Warder chipped in with eight catches for 83 yards. Matthew Klein caught four passes for 119 yards and one touchdown. Javen Huddleston added two receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown.Trevy Barber returned three kickoffs for 138 yards including a 90 yard return for a touchdown. Christopher Sweeney returned five kickoffs for 111 yards with a long return of 29 yards. Grayson Newman led the defense with five solo and eight assisted tackles and scored on a 31 yard fumble recovery return. AJ Woodard added five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Evan Tuck recorded five solo and one assisted tackles. Jordan Green added two solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards. Max Buchanon chipped in with two solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 19 yards for a touchdown. Brandon Gurley also recovered a fumble.
