West Jessamine raced outo a 21-0 lead after three quarters and held on for a 21-14 victory over Lafayette who scored 14 points in the final quarter. West Jessamine recorded 16 first downs and 322 yards of total offense. The Colts were penalized eight times for 65 yards and lost a fumble. Lafayette recorded 13 first downs and 198 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized five times for 40 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Gabriel Smith led West Jessamine’s ground game with 122 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. Greer Horne carried the ball 13 times for 82 yards and a touchdown. Bragdon Welch recorded 63 yards on nine carries. Gabriel Smith completed six of 13 passes for 50 yards and one touchdown. Connor Mason caught three passes for 34 yards. Eli Nickell added two receptions for nine yards. Greer Horne caught a seven yard touchdown pass. C. Satterwhite and Eli Nickell each returned one kickoff for 20 and 14 yards respectively. Isaac Maynard led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackleswith two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards and intercepted a pass he returned 16 yards. C. Longhofer added six solo and three assisted tackles. C. Satterwhite intercepted a pass he returned 33 yards.

KJ Jones led Lafayette’s ground game with 57 yards on 12 carries. DJ Walker carried the ball 12 times for 33 yards. DJ Walker completed eight of 16 passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns. Mac King completed 0ne of eight passes for -1 yards with two interceptions. Kevin Amuri caught four passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. Nasir Andrews carried the ball twice for 23 yards and a touchdown. C. Giannone added one recption for 24 yards. Terraze Taylor returned three kickoffs for 49 yards with a long return of 30 yards. J. Stephens returned one kickoff for 17 yards. Cael Green led the defense with two solo and 10 assisted tackles. Terraze Taylor added two solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. AJ Nichols recorded one solo and six assisted tackles.

Corbin defeated Frederick Douglass tonight in an old fashioned defensive slugfest by the score of 6-0. Frederick Douglass had one last chance but facing fourth-and -goal on the Corbin 5 yard line with seconds remaining and facing defensive pressure by Jerod Smith Jaxon Strautman’s pass fell incomplete. Corbin recorded 15 first downs and 218 yards of total offense. The Redhounds were penalized three times for 28 yards. Frederick Douglass recorded 13 first downs and 240 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized nine times for 92 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Guy Bailey led Corbin’s ground game with 40 yards on 14 carries. Cam Estep carried the ball four times for 14 yards. Kade Elam recorded 12 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Kade Elam completed 21 of 26 passes for 154 yards. Carter Stewart caught seven passes for 123 yards. Cam Estep added five receptions for 19 yards. Carter Stewart punted twice for a 42.5 average with a long punt of 46 yards. Kade Elam punted twice for a 34.5 average with a long punt of 47 yards with one punt inside the 20 yard line. Zander Curry led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles. Evan Baker added three solo and seven assisted tackles. Jacob Smith recorded five solo and two assisted tackles and intercpted a pass he returned 26 yards. Jerod Smith added two solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Jeremiah Gilbert intercepted a pass he returned 23 yards.

Pharo Watts led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 42 yards on 14 carries. Kenoxie Allen carried the ball five times for 28 yards. Jaxon Strautman completed 18 of 28 passes for 156 yards with two interceptions. Darion Talbert caught nine passes for 91 yards. Cooper Ranvier added five receptions for 39 yards. Cooper Ranvier punted five times for a 38.4 average with a long punt 52 yards and three inside the 20 yard line. Ranvier kicked off once for 60 yards and a touchback. Aveion Chenault returned two punts for 16 yards with a long return of 10 yards. Darion Talbert returned one kickoff for 22 yards. Kaden Clay led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles with five of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 34 yards. Terrion Hicks and Logan Busson each recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.

Tates Creek recorded 10 first downs and 165 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized four times for 20 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Taendre Clark led Bryan Station’s ground game with 92 yards on six carries. Trenton Cutwright added 87 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Kalen Washington recorded 28 yards on six carries. Avery Johnson carried the ball three times for 25 yards. Trenton Cutwright completed 13 of 23 passes for 132 yards and four touchdowns. Dah’Von Frazier caught five passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Javari Burnett added four receptions for 51 yards and two touchdowns. Kamani Barbour recorded three receptions for 26 yards. Lexington Christian Academy defeated Lexington Cattholic by the score of 49-42 in the latest installment of the Lexington “Holy Wars”. Both teams combined for 91 points, 52 first downs, and 1,042 yards of total offense. One of the key turning points came early in the fourth quarter with LCA clinging to a 42-35 lead and Lexington Catholic on fourth-and-one from the LCA 1 yard line threatening to score and tie the game. However LCA held and started on a 99 yard drive that consumed valuable minutes and ending in a touchdown to give the victorious Eagles a 49-35 lead and a little more breathing room. LCA recorded 26 first downs and 509 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized six times for 51 yards and lost a fumble. Lexington Catholic recorded 26 first downs and 533 yards of total offense. The Knights were penalized once for 15 yards and lost two fumbles.

Brady Hensley led LCA’s ground game with 248 yards and five touchdowns on 39 carries. Cutter Boley added 19 yards and two touchdowns on five carries. BJ Evans recorded 16 yards on two carries. Cutter Boley completed 18 of 23 passes for 224 yards. Saxton Howard caught six passes for 77 yards, Nate Barnhardt added six receptions for 47 yards. Parker Chaney recorded four receptions for 57 yards. Kenyatta Hardge returned one punt for 18 yards. Anderson Mitchell returned one kickoff for 25 yards and Saxton Howard returned four kickoffs for 40 yards with a long return of 24 yards. Jackson Dillow led the defense with seven solo tackles. Parker Chaney and Kenyatta Hardge each recorded five solo tackles. Hunter Evans added four solo and two assisted tackle with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards. Mac Darland and Nate Barnhardt each recovered a fumble.

Jackson Wasik led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 69 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Joaquin Pereira added 25 yards on eight carries. Jackson Wasik completed 23 of 34 passes for 422 yards and five touchdowns. Sam Clements caught five passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Jackson Kreutzer added five receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown. Matthew Kern caught four passes for 116 yards. Kaylib Nelson chipped in with four receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown. Grant Gambrell recorded three receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown. Sam Clements returned five kickoffs for 96 yards with a long return of 22 yards. Bell County scored on a long drive late in the game to defeat Perry County Central by the score of 30-26 to improve their record to 4-0. Perry County Central had one last possession but Blake Evans intercepted a pass and Bell County ran out the clock. Bell County recorded 284 yards of total offense while Perry County Central rolled up 299 yards.

Daniel Thomas led Bell County’s ground game with 125 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries. Blake Burnett carried the ball six times for 94 yards and a touchdown. Blake Burnett completed four of six passes for 45 yards. Daniel Thomas caught one pass for 23 yards. Elijah Hampton added one reception for 12 yards. Hayden Damron led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses and two sacks. Blake Evans added nine solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned eight yards. Hayden Clark recorded six solo and two assisted tackles. Daniel Thomas chipped in with seven solo tackles. Spencer Phipps added four solo and two assisted tackles with one sack.

Seth Jackson led Perry County Central’s ground game with 113 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Kizer Slone carried the ball 40 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Kizer Slone completed 15 of 21 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Noah Kilburn caught four passes for 66 yards and a touchdown. Derrick Fields added four receptions for 40 yards. Tyler Robinson recorded two receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown. Phoenix Eddington led the defense with four solo and seven assisted tackles. Tyler Smith and Colin Combs each recorded two solo and six assisted tackles. Jackson Deaton chipped in with one solo and six assisted tackles and Hunter Griffie recorded seven assisted tackles.

Owensboro Catholic led 27-14 after three quarters but had to survive a furious rally and a one yard run by Brady Atwell with 11.6 seconds on the clock to earn a 33-28 victory over Owensboro. Trevor DeLacey scored on a 10 yard run and Peter Saang kicked the extra point to give Owensboro a 28-27 lead with less than three minutes left in the game. Owensboro Catholic then put together their winning drive but had the overcome a fourth-and-14 and a fourth-and-one to set the stage for Atwell’s heroics. Brady Atwell appeared to be stopped short of the goal line but kept moving his legs and seemingly helped by a teammate who was pushing the pile and finally crossed the goal line for the victory. A very exciting game before a vocal, large crowd and both teams left it all on the field tonight with another Friday night classic. Owensboro Catholic rolled up 418 yards while Owensboro recorded 313 yards.

Brady Atwell led Owensboro Catholic’s ground game with 101 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries. Vince Carrico added 14 yards on four carries. Brady Atwell completed 20 of 32 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns. William “Tutt” Carrico caught eight passes for 134 yards and a touchdown. Noah Rhinerson added three receptions for 54 yards. Mitchell Sims caught two passes for 37 yards. Vince Carrico chipped in with two catches for 23 yards. Elijah Blair caught three passes for 21 yards and a touchdown. Vince Carrico led the defense with eight solo and 14 tackles. William Carrico added four solo and eight assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned five yards. Elijah Blair recorded one solo and six assisted tackles. Miles Edge recorded three solo and four assisted tackles.

Deion Winstead led Owensboro’s ground game with 87 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Trevor DeLacey carried the ball six times for 36 yards and a touchdown. Evan Hampton recorded 20 yards on nine carries. Trevor DeLacey completed 16 of 23 passes for 183 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Chadyn Morris caught five passes for 62 yards. Blake Kimbrell recorded three receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown. Evan Hampton chipped in with four receptions for 40 yards. Elijah Hampton led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles. JaShawn Carr added four solo tackles. Taveon Bennett recorded three solo and one assisted tackles. Courtland Howard chipped in with two solo and four assisted tackles.

Beechwood defeated Simon Kenton 58-54 in a game that featured 112 points and 1218 yards of total offense. Beechwood recorded 567 yards of total offense while Dixie Heights recorded 651 yards. Simon Kenton scored a touchdown late in the game to pull within four; 58-54 and recovered an onside kick on the ensuing kickoff, However the Pioneers only had seconds remaining and a last ditch effort from the Beechwood 35 resulted in their pass being broken up close to the goal line as time expired. This was the second nail-biter for Beechwood who escaped a 49-48 overtime thriller over Dixie Heights last week.

Chase Flaherty led Beechwood’s ground game with 90 yards on 19 carries. Luke Erdman carried the ball twice for 50 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Fryman and Clay Hayden each scored a tyouchdown on the ground. Clay Hayden completed 24 of 34 passes for 433 yards and five touchdowns. Tyler Fryman caught six passes for 190 yards and three touchdowns. Chase Flaherty added seven receptions for 80 yards. James Cusick recorded six catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. Luke Erdman chipped in with four receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown. Shawn Sowder intercepted a pass.

Durell Turner led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 293 yards and four touchdowns on 30 carries. Brady Lee carried the ball nine times for 43 yards and a touchdown. Landon Brown also scored a touchdown on the run. Brady Lee completed 20 of 31 passes for 312 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Grayson Harris caught seven passes for 89 yards. Tysin Weaver caught three passes for 89 yards and a touchdown. Nathan Kitchens recorded six receptions for 88 yards. Carter Blades added four receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown. Carter Blades also recovered a fumble.

Evan Pitzer hit Willie Rodriguez with a 21 yard pass and Rodriguez got in the end zone with 13 seconds remaining on the clock to give Covington Catholic a 31-24 victory over Dixie Heights. Covington Catholic recorded 23 first downs and 358 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized once for five yards and did not commit any turnovers. Dixie Heights recorded 20 first downs and 284 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized five times for 51 yards and did not commit any turnovers.

Owen Leen led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 55 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Evan Pitzer completed carried the ball 12 times for 48 yards and a touchdown. Evan Pitzer completed 18 of 25 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns. Braylon Miller caught nine passes for 128 yards. Willie Rodriguez added three receptions for 48 yards and two touchdowns. Oliver Link recorded three receptions for 33 yards. Noah Johnson caught two passes for 36 yards. Braylon Miller returned one punt for eight yards. Braylon Miller returned two kickoffs for 64 yards with a long return of 38 yards. Tate Kruer led the defense with 12 solo and one assisted tackles. Bryan Station got a late interception to hold off Ballard by the score of 28-21 in a hotly contested game on the road. Bryan Station recorded 13 first downs and 347 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized twice for 35 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted. Ballard recorded 19 first downs and 381 yards of total offense. The Bruins were penalized seven times for 55 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Kalen Washington led Bryan Station’s ground game with 167 yards and one touchdown on 19 carries. Trenton Cutwright completed eight of 19 passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. JT Haskins Jr. caught three passes for 83 yards. Jordan Haskins added one reception for 55 yards and a touchdown. Kalen Washington added a 12 yard touchdown reception. JT Haskins Jr. returned one punt for 12 yards. Demond Green returned three kickoffs for 98 yards with a touchdown return of 85 yards. Jason Hocker led the defense with eight solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Jaylen Berry added five solo tackles. Jordan Haskins recorded four solo and one assisted tackles. Dah’Von Frazier added four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards. JT Haskins Jr. intercepted a pass he returned 16 yards. Isaiah Watts also intercepted a pass.

Journey Wyche led Ballard’s ground game with 87 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. Damari Edelen carried the ball 12 times for 65 yards. Larry Irvin added 23 yards on four carries. Larry Irvin completed 12 of 30 passes for 192 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. M. Stephens caught three passes for 47 yards. Daelen Thompson added three receptions for 22 yards. Ethan Heady recorded two receptions for 20 yards. Journey Wyche caught one pass for 76 yards and a touchdown. Damari Edelen returned three kickoffs for 54 yards with a long return of 24 yards. Maddox Knuckles returned two kickoffs for 16 yards with a long return of 10 yards. Mikel Clack led the defense with five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss. A.
